Quite noisy with windows open and the drapes were a bit of a faff to close properly.

Fantastically cheery chap on reception whose name eludes me but is an asset to the hotel (very helpful with checkin and orientation), spotlessly clean rooms, seemed nicely soundproof with windows closed. Loved the oldy-worldly radio, actually really good idea. Out of the centre, but all of Salzburg is super walkable.

They had enough soap, shampoo, necessity kit etc. But, we could not find slippers. Didn't mind to ask, however; since we had brought our own pairs with us.

It is a nostalgic kind of hotel. And i love nostalgia. There was an old fashioned bedside radio on the wall and it was still working! The staff was very helpful and sincere. I am grateful for their responses. Common areas and rooms are clean and smell really good. Its location is on walking distance to the center and touristic attractions. The rooms are not noisy. If you do not have much luxurious expectations and love humbleness, this hotel meets the expectations.

Decor was a little dated, but well maintained. Bath had some marks in it which were more likely due to its age than being dirty.

Perfect location for sightseeing and for accessing the train station. Staff were very welcoming, giving good recommendations for food when we arrived late. Well stocked mini bar.

It felt a little tired. The bedroom furniture wasn’t fit for purpose, there were no drawers to put any clothes which meant everything had to stay in the suitcase. Also the heating seemed to be on 24/7 which was a bit too much.

Convenient to walk into the city but far enough out from the main tourist area for it to be quiet at night (a bonus) All the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The location was perfect as it was only a 12 minute walk from the main train station. We only stayed for 1 night as we came for the sole purpose of the Sound of Music Tour. So the room was just right for 2 people. The staff were very nice and helpful and the 24/7 was great.

Room was clean, very comfortable bed, comfortably large bathroom. Central location, didn't have to use public transport once while visiting. 24h reception really saved me as several of my trains got cancelled in the evening.

No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I even asked for some hot water and was refused.

Location was good Room was a little dated but very clean and tidy Staff were very helpful and friendly on arrival. We could even store our two push bikes inside the hotel. Breakfast was really good.

Excellent location, just 15 minutes from the station by foot and a similar distance to the old town. Very obliging staff on the front desk. Well stocked, reasonably priced minibar.

All was fine, but we wish we had reserved a bath.

The Vier Jahreszeiten hotel is small, unpretentious and smart and we were welcomed by the friendly staff. The room was very tidy and well appointed. We slept well, helped by the quiet environs, and enjoyed a comprehensive breakfast with freshly cooked eggs and everything else we could have wanted. Salzburg itself is lovely and we would love to go back one day, probably at Christmas time.
