Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bedroom was very warm even when the heating was turned off and the window was open
The location was excellent, very close to the city centre but far enough away that it wasn’t too loud. The room is perfect for a short stay.

i could do with more plugs and a kettle and an fridge, but that is hardly a bad thing really, I cant really find any issues.
very clean, the room was good and had all you need, maybe missing some more plugs, nowadays we carry so much electronic stuff. Breakfast was good, I didnt see too many vegan options but ate well. I asked for some plant milk and they brought it to me. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.

They accept cards but the staff were upset/a bit rude that we paid by card for a drink in the lobby. Either don’t accept cards, state a minimum amount required, or don’t make an issue of it :)
The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable. The wifi worked well. The location is about a 15 minute walk to the central area of Vienna.

Tired looking. Construction beside our room even though we requested a quiet room and we’re staying for a week. We were given a quiet room upon request. Not a 4 star hotel. More like 2.

The heating was a bit too warm so we were sweating the whole night. We only found the regulator for the heater the next morning.

When we arrived they gave us wrong room which had tiny window, very dark and small room. Then they changed when we asked. Also I booked room with 2 single beds but they gave us double bed.
Great location, close to bus/ train station, walking distance from main attractions.

Hotel is nice, with a good size of the room. It is in a perfect location, all the main atrractions are not far way, great area, with few min walk to the shop. Next to hotel is bus stop to airport. Staff is really helpful and friendly. Thanks for a good stay.

Just down the road Cafe Mayer, v popular with locals and looks good, but rather loud music at times. We were above the hotel reception area, religiously at 6am music was on and we got the thud thud for the rest of the day.

The location was superb. Quiet but also an easy walk to the city centre and transport links close by. Room, breakfast and staff all were excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.

the only Criticism I had was thee was no milk for tea and coffee in the room , just coffee creamers, there is a fridge so I think they could leave some fresh milk .
the location of the hotel is excellent only a short work to all the main attractions .Breakfast was included in our stay, there was plenty of choice from pastries , breads to cooked meats , variety of cooked eggs , cereals , yoghurts and fruit . the hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful . the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable .I had excellent nights sleep as the hotel and surrounding area was very quiet, I am not sure if that was because we were there in January but it was very peaceful .
