The room was rather warm, although the ceiling fan worked very well so it wasn't a problem. The room was also a little on the small side but the location and price more than made up for this.

The location is excellent - it is a quieter area but close to the station, bus routes and a short walk to the Altstadt and the other sights of Salzburg. It was great to be able to leave our luggage in the lockers there on the day we arrived and the day we left before catching out flight in the evening. The room was clean and had everything needed.

The room was really so small. Like so small. Also no AC but at least a ceiling fan that does help a little. The rooms are right on the street/the building parking lot, so no privacy and you hear all the other guests sitting outside or having their windows open. WiFi was bad. We were here in high season so it was quite expensive and def not great value for money.

Our two night stay cost an extra 14 Euro in city/tourist tax, which we paid just before check out. We knew this and had no hesitation in paying, but just be aware of that added tax.

It is a little different, almost an airbnb, in that you are given an entry code to the reception area and there you will find your room key. The reception area is unstaffed, with a seating and breakfast bar with fridge and coffee maker. You can buy drinks, snacks and coffee refills from a large dispenser. Across from the reception area the rooms are Alpine style and very clean and comfortable. You are left on your own, which is fine, though the host is always just a phone call away should you need anything. If you arrive by car you have your very own parking bay. Finally, an excellent location, easy walk to the centre or take a nearby bus.

Curtains were transparent, could have been more opaque for privacy (room being on ground level). Separate mirror apart from the washroom one could have been provided. Washroom exhaust fan (fir air circulation) could have been more effective. Individual parking lane width could have been a more wider. Could have provided more than one access card to the guests.

Location from central station was very convenient. Rooms were clean, and staff were approachable and available to answer our questions.

We stayed in Room 109 - Fan not working and we stayed during a heatwave. It was like an oven! A small mobile fan was on the property but it just wasn’t enough even with window open. A minor point is that the shower screen is probably a little bit small.

I selected Hotel Modus because of its location within an easy walking distance from the city centre and the reasonably priced parking. But there were other pleasant surprises: The motel style of the hotel, the common lounge with its small kitchenette, the foyer to each room, the outside chairs and table and the fairly comprehensive visitor's guide in the room.

A minor gripe was the lack of secure parking for my bicycle. It was in full view which concerned me as bikes are vulnerable to theft.

A simple hotel with none of the bloat often found. I appreciated that this accommodation had what I needed and not the unnecessary additional features usually associated with hotels. I rarely saw a member of staff in our three nights, however they were always available online when I had questions.

When walking to the property google maps try’s to send you behind the property. No wardrobe or even hangers for clothes. Window shutter did not work on the first night but was mended the next day.
