The room! I felt that it was very tired (style, furniture and bathroom were dated and had all seen better days), the lighting was very poor and it needs renovating. Whilst it was clean and functional, I didn't feel comfortable in the room as it didn't have a pleasant ambience. The Muttererhof room brings the overall score down.

There are 2 parts to this review. The Muttererhof shares the restaurant, breakfast room and check-in with the adjoined hotel (das Mei). The facilities in the hotel Mei were exceptional, we thought the food in the restaurant was really very good and the breakfast also very good. The staff very friendly and helpful.

Great place with friendly employees. Nothing has been problem. I'd like to have more time to discover more nearby places. It looked that it's very good place also for winter.

The room was a bit cold

The room was very spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of options.

The shower did have some signs of mold in corners and joints, more careful cleaning would be recommended.

A bit far from the city center. Need a car. But here is a possibility to use a train.

Great room and very clean. Staff was very friendly. Beds, towels and linen were high quality. Very big bathroom. Super nice breakfast and the view from the restaurant to mountain. High recommendations.

Beds were a bit hard. And the shower leaked. Apart from that everything else was good.

The breakfast was very good with lots to choose from. As much tea and coffee as you could fit in.

An extremely empty room, it didn't have a small refrigerator for my medications that needed to be in the refrigerator, it didn't have a microwave at least to heat food and lastly the bad smell of cigarettes on the carpet in the hallway and stairs

Rooms in Mutterhof are a bit tired. Very noisy road outside, and as no air-conditioning, the windows need to be kept open.

Good breakfast provided in newer next door hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Stayed here before, so knew it was OK for one night. Beds ard clean and comfortable. Lovely view from terrace.

Room with AC was needed in the summer time. It would have been nice to mention that the hotel reception is basically managed by Hotel Dasmei. Booking address was incorrect.

Great breakfast indeed. They offered us free transport cards. Muttererhof is a hotel which got merged with the Hotel Dasmei.

The hotel itself and the hotel equipment was rather old, but it was ok for the 1 night we spent there.

We could not open the window because lots of flies always come in. Need to swat flies before going to bed. Hair dryer was broken.

In summer, it’s too hot to stay in the room, especially in the night to sleep until the midnight. Though you should enjoy the nature and its warmth, but rooms should be provided atleast with fans. Otherwise everything else was wonderful.

The rooms are a bit dated. There are no elevators, so if you plan on bringing heavy luggage and get a room on a lower floor, you will need to climb the stairs with them. However, we did ask for help and reception helped us carry our luggage.

Booking.com is not very transparent; the hotel we booked is now part of the larger hotel (DasMei) and this is not clear when we booked the hotel. The pictures you see on booking.com are misleiding- take the picture from another angle and you see that the large modern hotel is built adjacent Mutterhof hotel. So the atmosphere is very different from what you think when booking. Also from the site it was not clear that you can have dinner in the hotel (DasMei). So the site should have been more transparent. Overall we rate the stay very high, because of the points listed above (what we liked).

The breakfast in the adjacent hotel (DasMei) was for a 4* hotel, which was beyond for what we were expecting. The room in the Mutterhof hotel was a bit old, but large and very clean. Also the room was very quiet.
