Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaSauna has windows and you can see naked people from the rooms of the hotel. I am absolutely okay with sauna, but it is really odd to think that people can watch u from their rooms.
Location is great. Breakfast, dinners, room - everything was nice.

United Kingdomthe fitness room was too small and had too many large machines in it. Given how people exercise these days, would be better to clear our equipment and have space for free weights. Also if hotel could have a few bikes for rental for non skiiers that would have been extremely helpful and would probably mean we would come back.
location, room, spa facilities, breakfast, reception staff were all excellent.

United KingdomThe swimming pool and jacuzzi were a big disappointment.
Firstly, the staff at this hotel were most helpful and friendly. In fact, on departure, our transfer taxi company did not arrive, so one of the staff members, Lenka, walked to the train station and came back with a taxi bus and driver to transport us to the airport - excellent customer service! The breakfast was superb, with everything you could think of on offer. The dinner was a set menu, and some evenings the main course was not always enjoyable. However, there was plenty of choice at the salad bar and soup was available each evening. We did have a few issues with the bathrooms in our bedrooms, but they were all sorted out quickly. The jacuzzi in the swimming pool area was always cold, even though the staff reported it to be the correct temperature. This was disappointing, as it was one of the reasons I booked a hotel with a pool and jacuzzi. It is my understanding that the hotel is getting refurbished after the current ski season, although I am not completely clear on this as I understood from earlier correspondence that the work was completed prior to our arrival. The hotel location is first class – central with a few minutes walk to City Xpress ski lifts. Beautiful area to walk around in the evenings, with lots of lovely bars and restaurants. All in all, we would definitely recommend the hotel, and if refurbishment works are planned for this year, even better.

AustraliaThe shower was quite small in the budget doppelzimmer for my partner who is quite tall and broad. This is a personal preference but would have been nicer to have a shower screen rather than a shower curtain but not the end of the world.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating especially when we had a couple of issues with the room and it was nice to come back to a freshly made bed every day. The facilities such as the pool and spa were fantastic after a big day and the buffet breakfast was delicious every morning. The location was really good and close to the train station and the mountain views from the room were really nice as well.

United KingdomThe only minor disappointment was the limited selection of items in the room hospitality tray.
Ideal location, a great breakfast selection, all the staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful. The complimentary guest card gave free use of the local public transport, giving easy access to many nearby attractions and locations.

GermanyNice Hotel with lots of nice features like Pool, Garage etc. excellent breakfast, and right in the center of everything. The downside is, EVERY morning between 5 and 6 am, trucks ate beeing unloaded, Trash is being picked up, and your sleep is over. Second year in a row now. Will have to find a different place next year.

United KingdomReally great hotel, very close to both the town and the City Xpress ski lift and bus stop for access to other lifts/resorts. The staff were excellent, really couldn’t have been more helpful. The restaurant staff were particularly good. Half board was a great choice, good breakfast selection and really nice dinners - actually surpassed expectations. Spa is a fab extra feature and not very busy. We had an issue with our room but we were moved to a new one easily and the staff were really good about it. Highly recommend.

FinlandSpa… and arrangements there. I actually felt rather unsafe: altough I have been wearing swim suit in the sauna multiple times in different spas, this was the first time I was approached by several men (different occasions) that I should take the swim suit off. One of them even said that he (and his wife) can make me feel very uncomfortable. As the guidance from the hotel, is in fact, request to take the swim suit off, I feel that there is very limited possibilities to do anything different. How can any hotel require people being naked in the sauna?!

United KingdomWould benefit from better in-room amenities considering 4-star status and price, i.e. mini-bar, snacks, better selection of teas, and some UHT milk pls! :-), coffees, drinking chocolate, etc... Spa Room bit dated and confusing - map/guide of what's where and available to guests to use would help.
Location, cleanliness, comfort and quality of lounge and bar area, parking and ski storage arrangements were the stand-out features. Bedroom wonderfully spacious and well-serviced.

LithuaniaNo free parking place around. There is an underground parking, with a hotel discount one day costs 16€. All area around is a city center, blue zone, 1hour cost about 1€, it would be ok, but the main problem is that you must repeat payment for parking every few hours. About Spa zone - they have strange spa zone rules :) It is written that sauna is a nude zone and besides that after 18p.m spa is a zone without kids under 15yr. When we came (naked), we saw that all visitors were with swimming suits and jacuzzi was full of kids 🙂 Next day we took our kid too 🙂 all week water in jacuzzi was a bit cool. Some visitors went to sauna naked, but it was very uncomfortable if you want to go to jacuzzi after sauna, becauce you have to dress and undress your swimming suit many times 🙂 if you want to go to pool, you have to go outside, there is no warm connection🙂
Nice old house. Good location - you can easy go skiing in Kaprun and Saalbach. Cityxpress lift is very close to the hotel, you can go on foot. Breakfast was very good and various. Room was very spacy and clean. Free apples in Spa zone 🙂
