Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The property is a bit outdated. There is also to note that the rooms provide little to no privacy. Lovely for a couple but something that needs to be noted if you want to visit it with friends/family members.
Location is good and the hotel staff is very lovely!

The WiFi is just OK. And the issue with room temperature being too hot or too cold can't really be solved due to the system used. More power points are missing in the rooms - for laptop, smart phone etc.
This has been a favourite hotel of mine in Vienna for several years. The rooms are spacious, the location is prime, the staff knowledge, the breakfast plentiful, and the rooms quiet enough (except when there is movement outside the door of the room). They also try to be more sustainable.

The room was a bit warm, and I would have preferred lighter weight blanket. The bathroom walls could also use a bit of scrubbing.
Excellent service, outstanding breakfast, and perfect location. I will stay here again on my next visit to Vienna.

No real complaints except that the hotel and its set up were a bit too trendy for my wife and I's tastes/
The room was comfortable and clean and the hotel is quite close to the central attractions of Vienna. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar area was quite extensive as a result of the hotel's other function as a major wine outlet.

The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't stay longer.
Excellent location, very close to both the Old Town area and various public transit hubs. Responsive and friendly staff always willing to help and make you feel at home. When it comes to the room, the bed was absolutely fantastic and I slept really well. Last, but not least, the breakfast was an absolute banger. What a smashing way to start the day! Overall a 10/10 stay.

Nothing major. As a wine hotel complementary bottle of wine in the room would be nice, each room is called after a Wine made by the hotel vineyard, it would nice to be offered that. wine in the room. The room had no view, just an interior patio and was a bit warm but we could open the window. We didn't have breakfast, seemed too expensive. The lift does not start at the entrance hallway, its up a level at reception, if you have mobility issues but wouldn't let that stop me going back.
Room was very big, bed was very comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful, location was convenient to the centre walking, not sure about public transport, we walked everywhere. If you don't have your towels changed you get a complimentary glass of wine in the bar. There is a small Saturday market and nice coffee shop close by.

Great location easily walkable to main sites. Close to tram and U bahn. Superb breakfast. Bar has excellent range of wines as one might guess from the name.

The hotel is great, all rooms styled after the different wine makers in the region. The rooms are very large and comfortable, bathroom was huge and it had everything you would need. What an exceptionable hotel.

The pillows. Please try to pay more attention to the pillows. In general, these articles are the ones that have quick degradation if they they are not of good quality.....and they are very important for a good sleep.
