How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewMy wife stayed here with my son and had a convenient overnight stay on the way to NL. The hotel is nicely decorated in classic alpine style, and the food in the restaurant was great. The staff was very friendly and forthcoming.
A lot of heat was coming from the floor heating in the bathroom, therefore the windows had to be opened. The hotel is located at a road and they had a room at the front of the hotel, so it was relatively noisy. The bed matrass was relatively old as my wife and son could notice the spirals, in spite of the topper.

Verified reviewThe location and the room. The location - it is so central to all the attractions. We find everything we want or need. So many supermarkets and shops nearby. The surroundings are very beautiful and we can have lovely walks by the Lech river which is just 5 minutes away. The town center is 15 minutes by foot. For my mom who mostly eat only Asia food, there's two Asian restaurants to choose from. There's also ice cream shops in the town. Everything is just very convinient. There's also a Drogeriemarkt nearby. Plansee is just 10-15 minutes drive away. The room - it is lovely decorated and spacious. We stayed as a family of four. The cleanliness is astounding! Our kids could crawl, roll, play Legos and lie down on the floor without any dirt stick on us. We stayed in a family room with a double decker bed for the boys. It's so lovely that it's placed in a separate room while the kids have access to us easily. The balcony view is wonderful.

Verified reviewThe hotel chef and his wife own this wonderful hotel where we stayed two nights in three rooms. We had dinner in the dining room both nights and really enjoyed the food and drink. The buffet breakfast was very good! Our rooms were large and comfortable. The dining room terrace was lovely. The owners gave us good information and directions for our activities and their staff were friendly and professional.

Verified reviewThe breakfast had a good variety. The room was clean and nice. The dinner option was reasonably priced and plentiful (though nothing special, which was expected given the price, and rather slow service).
I wish they had decaf coffee, but that is my one pet peeve with European hotels. It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room to make tea/coffee ourselves, especially since everything seems to close early. The bathroom, though clean, was very small.

Very good sauna. they also provide local activity card that provides discounts to a lot of local activities. Overall, amazing hotel, highly recommend it!

Verified reviewWarm vibes - stayed for our honeymoon and it was exactly the experience we were looking for. Breakfast in the AM was a great way to start the day. Staff was friendly, provided guidance for activities when we inquired. Another thing we loved was the heritage and charm everywhere on the grounds and within the building. Certainly would stay again - this time for longer - we only stayed 2 nights.
Unfortunately television wouldn’t connect to Netflix… but not a major concern - spent most our time exploring/hiking.
