The five different room types and five different suite types (see homepage of the property for more details) are not properly reflected in booking.com. So for a standard room here in booking.com you might get the "Ritter Rooms" or "Grafen Rooms" but not the "Ybbs Rooms" or "Mostbaron Rooms" that are in the "business category" here in booking.com. So you might want to contact the property if you are not sure or interested in a certain room type.

I've been to the hotel in 2016 as well and they now changed the hotel bar to "non smoking". That's really nice because in 2016 you could always smell the bar's smoke in the hallways close to the bar too (especially on the way to your breakfast in the morning the "old smoke smell" was not a very pleasant thing to notice) and that smell is now completely gone due to the change. You can still smoke on the bar's terrace. very friendly staff; superb breakfast; wonderful view from the "Ybbszimmer" (that's the business category here in booking.com)

Car parking is a short distance away, but not right by the hotel.

Our room was very quiet. A good breakfast was provided. The hotel is very well located for walking into Waidhofen an der Ybbs across a pedestrian bridge over the river.

Air conditioning malfunction; lucky us, we could open the windows, and there were no mosquitos. Fitness center closes at 22:30 ...

Limited car parking outside. The overspill car park is across the street which is fine when it is dry but not so when it is not.

The hotel could not be better situated for an enjoyable stay in Waidhofen an der Ybbs. The staff were friendly and professional. The facilities are spacious and of excellent quality.

We had the air conditioning down as low as it would go but we still found our room a little hot for our liking.

It's just a short walk into town, not far from railway station and the Rothschild/5-e museum is only 2 minutes walk away. The breakfast which was included in our overall price was everything you would feel like eating - every food group - fantastic and we ate outside on the balcony. Loved working the orange juice machine. Super way to start the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English.

Airconditioning not working and sleep in the hot conditions was difficult. Indoor pool and sauna was nice but not sure about the nudity policy of local guests whom use this facility

Nice staff, modern hotel, close to town of Waidhofen

Very close to the old town. As soon as the friendly staff realized the German pamphlet would be understood by us, they gave us a very descriptive walking tour brochure. At the end of the day it was fun to relax in the pool. They also had various steam rooms and a sauna. Breakfast was great!

It needed 4 moves and enormous discussions to receive a decent room. The initially assigned room was in the cellar (720), than another in the cellar (714). Then they offered an almost windowless room at the 4th floor, not reachable by the elevatory. The hotel turned pff the heating for money saving reasons. It was extremely cold for 150 Euro per night!

    The proximity to the castle
