Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

This was not something we disliked, it was just something we were not used to. The WC was separate from the bathroom so it felt a bit strange to not be able to wash our hands immediately after using the WC. However, this configuration was actually more efficient for a family as the WC and the bathroom could be used by 2 people at the same time.
The location - close to a supermarket, mall and subway station. Short subway ride to the places of interest we visited. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. Rooms were very spacious.

Everything was perfect. I recommend this apartment to everyone. We stayed 5 lovely day in Viena and Philippe was the perfect "anfitrión". He recommended us many plans for our family that were really nice. He gave us reccomendations "out of the box" and we enjoyed as much as we can our travel. The apartment is perfect with all the facilities you could need, very clean and comfortable. The neighbourhood is very interesting and you hace many shops and restaurants near de house. The City center is about 25 minutes walking and 10 by bus, metro or tranvia

Your apartment was very wonderful and lovely. We had been stayed seven days and felt being Cosy and it's enough to make cousins and have. It was very convient to take public translation and go to traditional market. You were very kind to explain how to use your apartment. If I come to Wien again, I will come again your apartment . The flat was very clean and well equipped. Friendly and very helpful owner. Good location, very close to Wiener Stadthalle, small grocery store and bakery open 24/7 just few minutes away.

Phillipe was a great owner he helped us very much.The place was quite very clean and comfortable.All the furnitures were new kitchen and bathroom was so clean and new.It was very close to Concert area if we will go again l will choose the same place.

Not a criticism but anyone booking needs to be aware, if sharing with friends, that dining area is in main bedroom!

Philippe was in touch before our arriving to apartment - he met us once we arrived and supported with each question. The apartment is very good, with full equipment. in short walking distance from the apartment - great market, supermarket. Thanks to Philippe for help!

The only down side is the table in the bigger room and if you want to drink a coffee in the morning there is no place where to sit if others are still sleeping 😉
The location is perfect with the metro station just a couple of minutes away, there is also a large number of excellent restaurants around. The apartment is fully loaded with amenities and the beds are very comfortable.

extremely clean, perfect for we have a 1 year old baby to whom the amazingly kind and thoughtful host assured a cot and a child seat for eating. beds are very comfortable. heating is awesome, also the coffee machine and the coffee itself very good value for money, close to the tourist attractions

Apartment is for every recommendation. Host was wonderful and very helpful with informations. The apartment is spotlessly clean with everything I mean everything you could need during your stay. Very comfy beds. Parking for 6e per day and playground for kids is one minute away. Center is 20-30min by foot. Thank you Philippe and keep up the good work.

The location was a bit far from the city centre however the underground connection was nearby. Only used the air conditioners for a short period of time as the rooms were quite warm and I found they are a bit noisy for me as they are the portable type. But at least we had some form of air conditioning unlike the other apartment we stayed at in Vienna previously which had no air conditioning whatsoever. I feel I have to mention that the coffee beans used in the coffee machine available in the apartment was undrinkable - I would suggest changing the beans, Philippe.
The apartment was very roomy and clean. So happy that there was a lift available for our luggage which was a bonus compared to the previous apartment we stayed at. Philippe was very attentive to our needs and was generous enough to stock the fridge with items that we needed for the morning as we arrived late when the nearby supermarkets were closed. Would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to my friends. Thank you Philippe.
