No hot water when I took a shower. One of the cubicles I used in the ladies bathroom didn’t have any toilet paper also hand towel dispensers were all empty.

Limited parking at the back otherwise street parking. Seemed to be a lot of working men staying there.

I stayed at the guesthouse for a couple months and it was great. The location is super close to the grocery store and bus stops and I loved the pool. Heidi and Peri are very friendly and helpful! The only thing I’d say is that the single beds are spring beds so that could be a bit uncomfortable if you’re not used to it.

Easy to find, what a gem of a place, parking around the back. Had a queen's room, lovely air-conditioning. This place upstairs is an architectural dream, original tin pressed ceiling and wall panels, stained glass windows, wooden flooring. Beautiful place. What didn't I like, that bloody fire alarm beeping in the lounge, but they said it's a moisture issue

The bed was awful. Like sleeping directly on springs. Air con unit directly above my head. Both made it very difficult to sleep. The window doesn't close properly, and I was bitten, and outside noise was loud. Lots of flies in the kitchen and all over my food as I was preparing dinner. The kitchen bin was piled high and overflowing in the morning.... more flies.

The location is excellent, and the property has fantastic facilities, a pool, a spacious living room with a giant TV, and two well equipped kitchens. The atmosphere is welcoming and vibrant, making it easy to relax and connect with others. The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful, and truly make you feel at home, like part of a family. I highly recommend staying here.

It was like living in a big family house! Everyone helps one another and sometimes there were movie- just dance- or music nights. I even got a small tour around the facilities. Washing machines are free. The owner is the BEST <3 I'm forever grateful for what he did.

There was a no drinking policy on site and however there were a few males drinking alcohol inside late at night. I understand it is a backpackers however we were made very clear about the no drinking rule. The bathroom was very untidy, once again not due to staff however no paper towel was available and the hand soap was in a dispenser that was broken and unable to squeeze out of. Price was a very large sum, understandable due to the event on however these aspects stated above helped us feel our money wasn’t spent wisely.

The service manager was lovely and helped us feel comfortable, so much so they even helped us locate the place when we arrived. Even responding after hours when the WiFi password did not work. Bed was comfortable enough and air conditioner was fantastic. Most other guests were courteous.

The manager is so friendly and kind The property is so clean. They’ve got a nice pool, veranda, and living room. It was a short-term stay but I’ll definitely come back there if I visit Townsville again.
