I like the back rooms looking over the grass but I was put in the side room looking over the carpark. But the room was quiet. The staff were brilliant. Usually my daughter and I meet up here.

The soundproofing isn't great, but its an old building and you would expect this, but something to be mindful of if you are a light sleeper

The location and outlook is stunning, the property is beautiful and it was very comfortable. The veranda overlooking the sunset was magical and the common spaces are lovely. The location is awesome.

Sadly, on a Saturday night my room was noisy, both in the evening and also the following morning from 7:30am. The rooms facing the river would be much better and the view is wonderful This place is a little hard to find and parking is limited

Had to walk up an external staircase in the rain to get to room. Bathrooms and toilets are shared facilities.

Location is gorgeous - the wide verandas look out over the river valley and the hills beyond, very close to local amenities. Shared lounge and kitchen area provides comfort and convenience.

Bathroom bit dated but other than that nothing not to like

Lovely hostel. Loved the verandahs and really central in Bellingen, walkable to lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Wish we could have stayed for longer. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The shared bathroom was downstairs from our upstairs room.

This is a well run guest house right at the heart of Bellingen, we had a pub meal just a short stroll to the adjacent hotel, plenty of guests were using the well equipped communal kitchen. Rooms are simple and comfortable. The location is really beautiful, we'd stay again. Staff are terrific, the Belfry had a nice atmosphere, guests were quiet and friendly.

Was a bit confused who was staff and who were guests. Therefore didn’t know who to ask for recommendations. Everyone was very quiet, which was very peaceful really but I’m sure some would find lonely if you are coming to socialise.

I had a long drive and it was a bit wet during my stay. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view. Kitchen had heaps of space. I booked very last minute, was glad they had space. Bellinger was so fun and creative, brewery across the road. Good access to everything and decent parking.

We had the only en suite room but with no fridge or tv. There is a communal kitchen but we would have appreciated tea making facilities in our room. Also nowhere in the bathroom to put make up bags etc.

Fantastic location with a beautiful outlook from the gorgeous balcony over green fields and trees. Walk everywhere.

Our room.was super tiny! Not enough room for a small suitcase near my bed on the floor, let alone 3 other people. I had to step in my suitcase to get out of bed. Otherwise the place is fantastic!

Does get a bit cold in winter in the shared areas, and noise travels around the building quite a bit. But as there’s only ever 9 or so occupied rooms, the noise is never too bad.

Beautiful large house looking out over the Bellinger River with multiple wraparound decks surrounded by tropical plants. Really friendly, helpful staff, and a cosy kitchen and living room area with all the equipment you need to cook. Comfortable, clean rooms. The guesthouse is also five mins walk from everything in town which means you don’t have to drive anywhere. We also took advantage of the infrared sauna which was incredibly relaxing.

Parking was a challenge at times but we got around it ok. TV would have been nice. Air conditioning would be useful in Summer but there is a ceiling fan so that’s ok.

Location, lovely views, nice staff,easy going guesthouse. We had the only room with an ensuite. Close to everything.
