Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe private location was amazing, views of the the rainforest from every window. Loved the open plan living and the decking to sit out on. Paul our host was so friendly and accomodating, giving us local knowledge on places to see and eat.

United KingdomWhilst the remote location is great for the immersion in the rainforest it also means you have to drive everywhere for any meals. Maybe a breakfast package would be a good idea?
Superb location in the rainforest It’s glazed pretty much all the way around so you feel like you’re really in the forest

AustraliaPerfect! 10 out of 10. A cabin hidden in the rainforest by a running creek in the Daintree..... Nature at its best. The accommodation is Very Private... Great Views from the studio's many windows, even from the Shower! Set in a Fantastic location. Beautiful spot on the map in NQ. Close to Restaurants and Cafes in Cape Trib. And of course, Cape Tribulation itself. We had a beautiful refreshing Dip in the freshwater. The Creek was flowing fast thanks to recent rain falls. The sound alone from the water flowing through the rocks from the Balcony was mesmerising. Fantastic Hosts.... Paul didn't miss a thing in the studio for our stay! This place is "Good for the Soul"

AustraliaHighly recommend Black Palm! The accommodation was immaculate and luxurious. The host, Paul, was friendly and very helpful. I was extremely impressed with how the cabin remained bug-free in the middle of the rainforest. This accomodation has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We will definitely return - Black Palm was the highlight of our trip to FNQ!

AustraliaBlack Palm was truely a very special, unique getaway. Located deep in the rainforest away from any one, and anything, except for the sounds of the birds and the running water of the creek. Exceptional Accomadation for those who are wanting serenity, relaxation and a place to rejuvenate, but only a short drive to local restaurants and Cape Tribulation township, the beach and local activities. Spotlessly clean with a double spa bath, double showers, kitchenette, super amazing huge comfortable king bed with heaps of pillows, TV, outdoor balcony, covered car parking- everything we needed for total rest and relaxation away from the worries of the world.

AustraliaIncredible location nestled in the oldest rainforest in the world. Running creek can be heard from bed and the water in the house comes from the same creek. Absolutely loved having a rainwater shower in the rainforest! It was wonderful to get away from city life.

AustraliaThe air conditioning didn't seem to be working at its best, but the place is made of mostly glass and its a very warm location, so we understood. The accommodation also runs on off-grid power, so we were conscious of that too. We would've kept the windows open at night but there were no screens, so really HAD to use the aircon.
This stay was just beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We had asked for a breakfast included for both days and were overwhelmed at the amount of food supplied, its was amazing and very appreciated.

AustraliaAbsolutely stunning villa amongst the rainforest - surrounded by greenery in every direction and just the sound of the birds. We had a wonderful time relaxing here, and will be back again (hopefully when the creek is running). Bed was very comfortable, and the spa and rain shower added luxurious touches. Paul and Wilma were helpful and welcoming too, and completed the experience.

AustraliaThe kitchen, fridge and stove area are quite small and it was difficult to fit multiple pans/saucepans kn the stovetop. We had bought our own food as we didn’t know what to expect in Cape Tribulation. Best to bring along the bare essentials first, check out the facilities at the accommodation then go for a grocery shop.
My partner and I stayed at the Black Palm for our last two nights in Cape Tribulation and it was beautiful. The accommodation itself was amazing, with 360* views of the rainforest it felt like we were in our own little world.

AustraliaNo suggestions, all was perfect.
Even with how gorgeous the accommodation looked in pictures - our stay absolutely exceeded our expectations! The cabin was clean, modern, surprisingly spacious, luxurious and private...we felt like we were in our own little spa oasis just minutes drive away from the heart of Cape Trib. Paul was very helpful with letting us know about the amenities and the local area and gave us fantastic advice about places to get a great feed. The bed was very comfy, the spa was absolutely lovely and every view (even from the bathroom) was absolutely exceptional. And on top of that, opening the windows to hear the pristine creek running by our doorstep was absolute heaven. We cannot wait to come back again.
