The garden and surrounds was left to die. In fact the orchard was a source of sorrow for my husband who felt the need to water fruit trees under stress and pick frilly that was draining them. Dead old gum trees completed the story, very sad.

The out of town location attracted us.

There were no facilities. The bathroom shower head is outdated. The surroundings need to have plants. Grass needs wateeing. The place does not look inviting.

The self-service wine locker was provided in the room.

We know water is at a premium after a relative dry year, however, please water the pot plantsor remove them from the verandah!

The location sits on a rise overlooking the valley and town of Tanunda, very quiet and love the bird life.

A few maintenance issues that took time to be addressed, as there are no staff on site and numerous emails and phone calls to owners were required before action was taken. Two lights inside didn’t work, the cracked toilet leaked onto the floor, and there was a major water leak by the verandah. All of these were eventually fixed, but should have been done much more quickly. The partial blockage in the bathroom vanity was never fixed.

Location was excellent. Fireplace and spa were lovely.

It would be better the online check-in email sent to me earlier. I got that email the day before arrival. As I didn't have time to process, I only completed the online check-in form when I arrived the premises. I expected the system will send me the access code to open the lockbox where the room key is stored immediately. Unfortunately, nothing come through. There is no reception and no answer when I call the contact phone number provided in the booking. I wait for nearly an hour still can't get anyone to help. It was very frustrating. Finally, I found another phone number from Google and the person who answer the phone gave me the access code. Other than this hiccup in the check-in process, the rest for the stay are good.

The maze of informaton gathering we were supposed to understand. The fact that the headquarters for the booking is in the Netherlands and the information we eventually got was from a Queensland phone number, in short, the booking was a nightmare.
