Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I found the step up to the kitchen area an obstacle. I think a built in ramp would be better suited in coming from the kitchen to the lounge area because and not inhibit or prevent a disabled or invalid person from having easy and safe access to these areas. The raised step could cause a guest or staff to fall and sustain an injury. If a guest or visitor was using a wheel chair, were vision impaired or using a device such as a walking frame, a pair of crutches or calipers, I think they would find this very difficult to manage at any time during their stay.
Very comfortable stay. The facilities that were offered were easy to access and use.

Minor things not even worth mentioning becuase the property was excellent, if I needed somewhere to stay again this would be at the top of my list of places to stay

I loved the location very central easy to get to the City or the Gold Coast by public transport. I loved how close it was to shops. The owners are very professional, friendly, approachable and helpful. The facilities very comfortable, the pool is great and as long as you clean up everybody is happy.

People doing drugs in their car outside the main entry then proceeding to steal ALL the toilet paper from the toilet and have loud sex in the next room audible to the whole house. A dog continuously barking for an hour and a half in one of the rooms, owner not phased, not trying to stop her. There is literally nothing in the room other than a bed, a tiny bedside table and a bucket (yes it's not a motel this is poor even for an AirBnB). Constant hooning on the road outside. Bedsheets had hair on them obviously from the previous guests.
Price and proximate location to Brisbane. I understand it's not a motel but it was terrible unfortunately.

There’s nothing I can fault about this stay or the hosts. Melinda and Mark are truly wonderful and welcoming. The accommodation is spotless, comfortable and in a perfect location. The price is fantastic for everything you get. An absolutely flawless experience!
Absolutely incredible stay! Melinda and Mark are the most wonderful hosts! They’re warm, welcoming and genuinely kind-hearted people who go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Their accommodation feels like a true home away from home, beautifully maintained, cosy and filled with thoughtful touches that make all the difference. No towels were provided by the property. The property is currently housing some short/longer term residents, so staying there feels like you are invading their home space. There is an ant infestation in the kitchen, but also in the room that we were staying in. There was no face to face communication with the host, only through text. We felt very uncomfortable staying there.
The property has a nice pool that is in good condition and clean that was fun to use.

Overall the place was the worse place I have ever been in . Other people smoking drugs inside pets running around in side and Urinating on inside furniture,people having parties in the middle of the night while others are sleeping. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
