Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Location is good when arriving from the airport which is really helpful especially when arriving late at night, however it’s pretty far away from a lot of activities/ sights, apart from a wonderful beach across the road!
The atmosphere was welcoming, decor was beachy and fun, friendly staff that accommodated all my requests, boards and bikes for hire. The whole place was amazing and well exceeded my expectations of a hostel

Pillows were not good enough, noise from both outside on the runways and inside echoing through the building when people open and close doors etc. We left very early for a flight but unfortunately didn’t get much sleep before that.
Great location, well set up kitchen and clean. Walking distance to the airport.

The location isn’t the best for those wanting the beach or shopping.
Very close to the Airport but not great for shops or attractions without a car. Fantastic kitchen, well equipped. My single room was good. Reasonably well appointed for a hostel and clean. The bathroom facilities were excellent.

Doesn’t have aircon so sometimes is really hot inside.
Chill environment, big and close to the beach. Nice staff and great place to meet new people. Bathrooms super clean and news

Average beds, no fresh air flow in heat. Small pool.

The rooms are a good size, the beds are comfortable, however, there is no air conditioning, only fans! There are surfboards to rent, a great selection of hostel activities to choose from, and the staff are really helpful! However, the reception is only open from 11am - 5pm.

This location doesn't implement it's 10pm quiet down rule. Our shared room was on the lower floor, window facing the pool. Worst night of sleep, lots of other travellers clearly night owls. Even with earplugs the evening dragged on, as the automatic lights from the pool were constantly on. Hostel etiquette lacks a bit in this location, and is clearly not implemented by staff.
Within walking distance from the GC airport, very neat, lots of common areas, clean and semi tidy kitchen.

Sadly one of the most antisocial hostels I’ve ever stayed in! Everyone was either working or sleeping early for flights, weird atmosphere, but fine for a 1 night stay! Showers got super filthy too, hair everywhere! When on top bunk there aren’t blinds on top windows so light woke me up so early! Super far from anything, like it’s near a beach, but all tourist attractions and the town are a 45 min walk away and bus stops are a walk away too.
Really close to Gold Coast airport if you’re needing a cheap stay over! Big kitchen and all utensils you’d need, huge walk in fridge too. Very comfy lounge with Netflix on tv for chilling, nice pool (didn’t swim but looked nice) and comfy beds.

The location is not the best, there’s the main road in between so it takes a while to get to the beach. Also, there’s nothing really nearby. You will have to take the bus or walk for 30mins

Would've like extra bath mats as the room I was in had people already staying there before and the bath mats were VERY used. The bathroom also had mould in between the tiles that were very noticeable.
A bus stop is right out front which made travel really easy, only 20mins to Maroochydore station which takes you all over the place. The Sunshine Coast Aquarium is also within walking distance.

Location is next to airport which is noisy and very far from Gold Coast center. However if you take a flight from GC airport it is the place to be in 10 min walks you are at the airport.
