Sally and Steve (owners) are really kind and they do the best to make your stay be amazing. The communication beforehand makes expectations be true to what you will experience. I have stayed 3 times here and would stay again when I come back.

Maybe, to update the anti-bug nets, as they were a bit damaged with some small holes, but apart from that, It was neat!

Our cabin was perfect, with so much space, minimalist but rustic and wide. There were small bugs, but there are anti-bug nets on the beds to keep em away. The surroundings were exotic and super beautiful, the perfect rural experience. The common areas were fully supplied and handy, and the owner was super helpful, kind and friendly. She even relocated us to a cabin separated from a school trip , so we could relax properly, and she also recommended us some cool places to visit nearby, the schedules of the tides for some beaches, and lookout peaks. And, the dog was so lovely! We totally recommend it and would definitely repeat the visit!

Not "didn't like" per se, but having a set of wooden drawers in the bedroom would have been lovely! It wouldn't take away from anything, and would allow for a little organisation :)

Loved the vibe and the staff, as they clearly wrote it's for those who want to connect with nature, disconnect with technology, be surrounded by the rainforest etc., and are comfortable with a the basics (bedroom, fan, toilet block etc.). If you're not comfortable with the basics, it's certainly not for you! The meals offered in the evening were plentiful, delicious and reasonably priced which we appreciated a lot as they could charge an arm and a leg as there aren't exactly many options. Would definitely recommend to friends/family :)

You know what you’re signing up for. Don’t come if you don’t like bugs. But it’s not dirty or anything like that. It’s just in the rainforest so they’re around.

Great location in Daintree just past the ferry (if you’re new to the area, be sure to google the Daintree ferry so you understand the situation). Very cool in the rainforest and a nice crowd. Also good value for the money.

Humidity haha but that's nothing to do with the hotel (fan in the room to help you survive). Watch out for spiders and other insects, have a spray on you. The breakfast wasn't open, you can use the kitchen, so prepare yourself upfront, because all the shops require comeback via ferry ($47 return)

It's a really wild place, the kind of spot where you go to connect with nature and disconnect with the rest. Very valuable experience. I liked the location and the pool that helped me survive the heat, we also had a pizza cooked there. Shockingly, there was a wifi, strong enough to send a text message ;)

Staff not easy to find. Owners off on vacation. Reception didn't open all 5pm. Confused about where to checkin and or stay. finally found someone who told me where my room was. Floor hadn't been swept but rest of room was clean. Nice sheets and towels.

Really fun to sleep in a wall tent. Property was a bit run down but still pleasant.

You are properly in the rainforest so it is noisy at night with fruits falling on tents and bugs/ birds etc. Not a bad thing at all for us - was what we wanted - but may not be for everyone!

Amazing to be in nature. Saw a wild cassowary from our room!

How to describe this adventure? You're in the middle of the rainforest, in a big tent with only a bed inside your room. You can't lock the door, and the journey starts after sunset. It's dark outside, no electricity, the rainforest wakes up. You hear strange noises, you hear the rain, you hear howls, you hear everything. Little rodents and bugs enter your room. You start a long, long, long night... You think it's scary? Yes it is. You think it's crazy? Yes it is. But damn hell, you'll never forget about this! Don't think, just do it, it's a memorable experience :)

Only issue we had was the hot water in the showers, but it is off grid, so completely understandable, and the cows making noises in the morning-which is a bit ironic.

The facilities are nicer then the photos-such as the pool, and the inhouse restaurant is great value and delicious-thanks ladies-it's nice to not have to think about where to get food after a day of exploring! Lots of diversity in bird noises-which I loved, and we didn't get eating by mozzies (traveled in October).

Although I liked the idea of being allocated your own personal box of plates and cutlery, on the morning of my departure, my box had already been removed from the kitchen. It meant I couldn’t have breakfast.

Crocodylus prides itself on being stripped back to the basics, so while you don’t get much, it’s hard to imagine what more you could need. The kitchen was always spotless and was well equipped. Evening meals could also be bought, freshly cooked by staff each night for around $20. The beds were comfortable and the cabins clean. I loved sitting on my own private veranda soaking up the sounds of the rainforest. The communal area is spacious and the pool was wonderful. You really could go off-grid here if you wanted to, but there was also plenty of opportunity in the mornings and evenings to charge your devices. The wifi worked great and 4G coverage was only a short walk away outside of the Crocodylus complex. I enjoyed the guided night walk with Jamie on my first night - I learned a lot and could appreciate the rainforest on a whole new level. I also felt ready to tackle sleeping overnight in the rainforest after it, a whole new experience outside of my comfort zone!
