We had 2 units for a large family gathering. The airconditioning in one of the units was not working properly. It was January in Queensland, very hot and uncomfortable. Some staff disregarded our complaints, others tried to help with a portable air conditioner in one bedroom. Overall this affected our enjoyment of the extended weekend stay and made it very difficult to sleep. The initial response from our complaint was very unsatisfactory.

Fantastic pool area, BBQ, tennis court, opposite a calm beach and a park nearby. Nice walking path along the waterfront. We enjoyed the warm spa, and kids spent hours in the pool and on the slide.

Nothing, we had a great time. We did unluckily have a power outage for approx 18 hours ish. But they had a backup generator so the lifts worked and some corridor lighting. The staff let us know what happened and we saw Energex working through the night fixing the issue. We cooked our dinner on the BBQs at the beach and our boys thought it was all a big adventure, so it wasn't a big inconvenience.

Loved the pool, it was so well maintained and the lush gardens around it are so well kept. The 2 bed apartment was spacious and very comfortable.

We had 2x3br apartments for extended family. The air-conditioning in one apartment wasn't working. Checked in just in time to rush out to a birthday dinner so didn't realise straight away. As it was a public holiday on day 2, we notified reception the following morning. They treated us like idiots and said of course it can't cope in the heat, but the other unit was good - we spent most of the time either at the pool or all in the other unit, which was very crowded. Eventually got hold of an after hours number and they brought a portable air conditioner. A slight improvement but still very uncomfortable for 3 nights, considering the price for a 3BR, very disappointing. And aircon doesn't reach main bedroom in either unit.

The pool is amazing. It entertained adults and kids for hours, caters from littlies to adults and all in between. It has a slide, water play area, platform for jumping and diving from in the deep end and a warm spa. Nice, well kept resort grounds, BBQ, undercover eating area by the pool, sun lounges, tennis court, easy access to the nearby park and beach. There is an Indian Restaurant on site and plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.

I liked everything

The hotel was walking distance to shops, beach and park if you have kids. The water slide in the pool was a hit with small and big kids. One bedroom Apartment was very roomy and had a big balcony could see the pool and ocean. Indian restaurant on site if you like that food. Didn’t get to try it although it was always busy. Only opened at night times.

Could use a deep clean and dust of the rooms (bed head and picture frames with dust caked on) and a shame no air con in the bedroom as made sleeping very hot on 38deg days. Ac in lounge room didn’t reach through to bedroom very well but worked well to cool lounge area of apartment.

Love the location being quiet and so close to the beach with a little one is amazing! The pool and slide also was a winner for my toddler!

Our A/C didn’t work. Took a couple days for them to pop in a portable A/C which worked ok as the door needed to be propped open for ventilation. All units could do with an upgrade but very comfortable otherwise. My hubby was having coffee on the deck with our small daughter watching a crow and got yelled at by management not to feed it… which he wasn’t… not super nice to be yelled at at 6 in the morning for something you’re not doing. But otherwise they were great and helped us as best they could.

Location is hard to beat. Close to everything but not amoungst a super busy crowd. Rooms were a good size

The hotel lobby and lift were both very hot, maybe aircon be put in/turned on would be ideal. And was only 1 aircon to service our 3 bedroom unit, but after running for a couple hours it cooled down to a comfortable temperature.

Wonderful beachfront access, spacious big room, wonderful facilities, lovely temperature pool. Lovely helpful staff. Walking distance to shops/medical centre etc.

There was no aircon in the bedroom, only a ceiling fan, which made it a stuffy and uncomfortable to sleep. Had to sleep with the door open and crank up the aircon in the lounge to try and get some cold air into the bedroom.

Pool was great, and nice to have a spapool as well. Great view from the room onto the pool area. Room was very big, plenty of space for 2 people. Free underground parking was super handy.

Fantastic self contained apartment which overlooked the water. Huge kitchen which was well stocked with all items needed for cooking. Big rooms and lovely balcony. Kids loved the pool and also park next door to run around in. Nice flat walk to Woolworths to stock up on groceries (1km away).

No basics in the kitchen! Eg oil to cook, salt & pepper. Just staples would have been so handy for a short stay. Had to buy everything and we left it there for the next traveler

We had requested for a cot for the infant which was not arranged and since we checked in after hours, we were told to check with someone in the morning. So we had to make some space on the floor for our 2 year old to sleep. (but to be honest that worked really well at the end of the day). It is not a hotel with a full fledged reception or staff walking around, so we did not spot anyone at the reception when we walked around it a couple of times. Since we stayed here for only 2 nights, we did not bother trying hard for a baby cot for the second night.

This overall stay was Good. We booked a 1 bedroom apartment and stayed here with family (including an infant). We enjoyed the heated jacuzzi by the pool but the actual swimming pool itself was not temperature controlled and it was quite cold for us. We did not really interact with any staff at all to be honest as our key was placed in the locker for after hours check in (which was quite seamless). The apartment was really beautiful with fully functioning equipment everywhere.

Our only fault this visit, was the old can opener that didn't work and the lack of child-friendly cups/ bowls etc.

Location is perfect for young families, right on the beach and close to essential shops. The pool and spa area is always clean and well maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We continue to return here year after year, as it's also good value for money.
