Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The carpet was extremely marked and grotty. The room felt tired and needs a deep clean and minor cosmetic touch ups. Carpet was major concern.

The room was clean but smoke from outside was annoying. It is looking and feeling a little "tired". Could not get TV to work. WiFi was OK.
Excellent location and value for money. Very clean and great bed.

Location is not good. No electric lifts. Need to climb up stairway despite many stairways being provided at the Inn. No telephone provided, so one needs to walk down to the office to make inquiries.
We were allocated room upstairs on first floor. We are aged couple and there was nothing alternative. This property has no lift and therefore concrete steps are available from all sides. Quite steep and elderly people cannot be expected to climb up the stairway with suitcases. They will pant for breath and die of suffocation. Owned by possibly Chinese migrants and they use Chinese workers to clean up the rooms. This should be fine as they do same jobs like any other Australians do. There should be open description of the property by Booking Com to explain that there is no electric lifts as such and customers are expected to climb the stairway upstairs floor. The location is also not conducive for easy access to trains etc and other shopping centres. There is a KFC store directly opposite the Inn and shopping centre diagonally behind the Inn for Coles supermarket and other convenient stores.

There was the smell of smoke in the room when we first arrived though this dissipated quickly.
Ideally located for our purposes this room was a clean retro style motel accommodation straight from the 80s. The staff were very helpful and the facilities while dated were clean and comfortable.

Parking wasn't easy to find after returning from our function. Several cars were taking up two parks.
We didn't have breakfast. The room was tidy and had appliances available for use. We didn't need to use. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the stay. Thank you

Unfortunately the outside lights were left on all night, I guess for security reasons. But the curtains in my room didn’t block out all the light.
The cleanliness of the room was perfect. The bathroom was exceptional. The bed was really comfortable and the heating in the room was tops. On top of all that the crockery and cutlery were clean and everything worked.

Very poor WiFi signal - only good at location close to door, not in room, had to use my data plan on phone. When ask the manager about WiFi issue, the answer is "I cannot help, signal changes from device to device". The room is lack of AC outlets. We did not have toothpaste and asked for help, the manager's answer is "this is a motel only, we do not provide it." So, the manager's attitude was poor - this is a motel only, it is what it is, if you are not happy, you can change to another place.
This is a motel, got what I paid for. Close to the center. Room is cleaned daily, has some chairs and cabinets. Glad that it has a refrigerator, which is better than some "hotel".
