Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The audio on the tv in the receiving room malfunctioned. Maybe I just pushed a wrong button on the remote.
Thankful that we we were able to check in earlier, the same type of room was given except that it was disability friendly. The staff was very professional and helpful. Returning to Townsville later in the year and will stay at Grand Hotel and Apartments again. You will never go wrong with this place.

1. Bathroom had a tub which was too hard for me to get into. Am pensioner aged 69, it was really hard to lift my leg into tub. Would have preferred a shower. Took me soooo long to have a shower as I didn't want to hurt myself. 2. Microwave would not work so had to eat my pizza cold & couldn't heat up my coffee.
1. Spacious 2. Loved the balcony 3. Bed was super comfy. 4. Business desk was awesome.

It was slightly disappointing that the hotel did not have a restaurant for breakfast, however it was nothing major as there are lots of places to eat nearby.
The property was very clean and styled very well. It also had a nice bathroom complete with very good shower gels. Also, it’s in a great location with some really good bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were super helpful and approachable, they gave us lots of recommendations

The washer/dryer. The dryer didn’t completely dry the clothes and took way too long to finish. Half wet and half dry. Really wished the dryer completely dried the clothes in less than 3 hours. Key card ended up being decoded on the second day which got me confused, not sure exactly how that happened. Main bathroom for the main bedroom mirror light suddenly didn’t work anymore on the very first day of arrival. I was using the sink in the main bathroom to soak some dirt off my baby’s shorts so I had to fill the sink but after I tried to pop it back up the sink plug was jammed and took me some handy time to pop back up. The main bedroom switch for air was confusing. Couldn’t feel the room cool up really wished there was an a/c in the bedroom instead. Comparing with the other hotel apartments nearby this hotel is just way too overpriced.
Location was great. City town square was nearby and it was lovely to walk at night. Area was quite peaceful and not noisy. The two bedroom apartment is good for a family of 5. Spacious and accommodative. I liked the pool area, great for the kids. The gated parking area is good and keeps us feeling safe and secure.

The pricing of the hotel was a little exuberant but due to the time being Pink concert it was expected but still very high. and what we got with the price was a little underwhelming.
The location is amazing right next to everything you need. Restaurants, electric scooters, beach, entertainment and shopping. There was a bed and a pull out couch. Couch wasn't the best but having a pillow menu made up for comfort and having amazing hotel staff.

Because I'm vision impaired I found it very dark in the bathroom which i neatly collided into the glass partition. Room was dark for me too.

The room this time had a view of the kitchen across the road however every other time we have stay it has been a much nicer view.
It’s comfortable, value for money and close to lots of restaurants and entertainment

I can’t really think of anything
The size of the apartment was fantastic, very spacious but also well equipped to stay longer. The location was within walking distance to town and some wonderful restaurants in the street but with the doors closed we slept like babies not hearing the passers by downstairs after the all stars game. All staff we encountered were very helpful and our room was serviced well during our stay.

key card use was over utilised which indicated a security issue across the whole property shower over bath is old fashioned sliding door to wardrobe broken indicating lack of maintenance lack of ceiling fans meant AC was needed
location for food outlets good (Palmer Street is one of the foodie streets in Townsville)
