The parking is too tight for a modern dual cab ute. Busy main road difficult to reverse out onto. I had to park on the road.

The venue is beautiful, the staff are super helpful and friendly.

The two receptionists are extraordinary!!!, their attention is impeccable, they made us feel good at all times. The room was perfect, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and everything was very clean. We also liked the decoration of the hotel and the delicious breakfast. Jose and Andrea

Nothing to not like.

That it was boutique, plenty of character, historic building. My room was upgraded both visits. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was great.

The breakfast was very disappointing, especially there was no gluten free options other a little pot of yogurt and a spoonful of stewed berries and to have to pay $5 for a coffee was terrible

This is a beautiful and elegant heritage hotel. A great location and breakfast. The staff were lovely and I was especially impressed by the receptionist Holly. I overheard her being so helpful to two arriving guests with detailed directions about eating places, market hours and getting to MONA etc. I really was impressed by her and feel management should know what an exceptional staff member she is.

The only drawback were the stairs to access the room, but the lovely girl on reception carried my bag up the stairs for me.

I really liked the location, in easy walking distance of Salamanca place and the waterside. The reception staff were very friendly and super helpful. The breakfast was good and the staff were helpful. The property has character and is not a sterile modern place.

It is an older building so had interesting features. I stayed on two occasions and both rooms were large. I loved the older feel of the place. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the breakfast was great.

The sofa in our room was a let down not in keeping with the rest of the decor.

The older style furnishings and decor. The continental breakfast was very good. What we valued and appreciated most was the interaction with the friendly and helpful staff.

No lift, not great with heavy cases up 2 flights of stairs. To be fair the receptionist did offer to carry them up.

We didn’t realise our room was internal when booking. It was still a very nice room but would have been good to know, there was technically a window which went out into the hallway.

Would be nice to have a smart tv or google chrome, but the old tv was fine.

Exceptionally beautiful historic Hotel, wonderfully renovated with extremely lavish common areas and exceptionally large rooms. The King room had vaulted ceilings with lots of natural light, a huge king size four poster bed that somehow looked tiny in the expanse of the huge room The room had a set of couches and plenty of storage. We were told to expect a nice continental breakfast, however it was much much better than anticipated. Fresh loose leaf tea, juices, pastries and croissants , yogurt, fruit and cereals, toast and preserves. It really was exceptional.

Not really a dislike, but more of a reminding. It is clearly stated if you arrive after hours, you will need a safe code (sent by email/booking) to get your key. I had dropped my phone in the sea, and it would not turn on. Just make sure you have access to your phone if you arrive late.

Staff was excellent and kind! I stayed here before and after my hike on the Three Capes Track, Easy to walk to everything in Hobart. Bed was very comfortable, and they even did my laundry complimentary after the hike. Would definitely recommend!

The hotel should modernize the door locks so that they are opened with a plastic card which is disposable. I forgot to hand my key in and it cost AUS$30 to send it back. If there was a card system in existence, I wouldn't have needed to.

The parking situation - advertised as free parking (if you want to park on the busy street & only free on weekends) or $20 if you want off street, reserved

Central to the city, lovely period decor, spacious room, comfortable bed, breakfast buffet was amazing!!
