Full of character. The staff were delightful and the main property was charming.

The shower curtain sticking to my back and waiting for the water to heat up in the shower. ‘The cottage ‘ was a bit of a euphemism.

Location was great and rooms were comfortable.

Being told I arrived 2 minutes before check in was not a nice welcome. No response from Hotel after messaging questions over the wend. I was told it was the managers days off... Felt like an inconvenience to restaurant staff when i turned up for dinner without a booking. I was staying for 5 nights and not informed bookings were essential. I was advised Breakfast window was between 730 and 845. This didn't suit me even though breakfast was included. No other options were given so breakfast was missed on 2 occasions.

The service of the staff, particularly Micheal. The meals were brilliant!

The bed, we both rolled to the centre. Micheal did offer blankets, but we declined Kind of wish we hadn’t. Overall a memorable stay. Highly recommend. 4.5 stars.

This is a unique property which maintains an old world feel.

The facilities are getting old and need an uplift

We paid $45.00 for a cheese platter & this was not worth it. Our Tv was also not up to standard.

Traditional old guest house, quaint common rooms, small but nice restaurant, very small bathroom but comfortable room

The bathroom in our room was tiny with a vanity so small it was impractical. It was manageable for one night but not a longer stay.

Comfortable room. Compact but functional bathroom. The combination of the central heater near the door and electric heater in the bedroom kept things nice and cosy. The included breakfast was great. Dinner was excellent and decent value for money. You have drive to get anywhere, but that’s not a major issue. Plenty of eateries in Bowral (Monaco is terrific) only a short drive away. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Grounds look nice but it was too cold to stay outside. All up, a lovely stay with plenty to do in the area (Fitzroy Falls is spectacular) or sit in the lounge in front of the fire.

Everywhere except the rooms is “fully licensed” and it’s restaurant prices for drinks, so a couple of pre dinner drinks can be a bit costly.

Lovely restaurant and friendly staff. Food in restaurant was excellent.Lounge area with fire also very nice.

For the price charged, the bedrooms were a bit underwhelming. Decor was dated and lack of amenities you would expect at a premium hotel (e.g. robes, premium toiletries, quality furniture and decor)

For $900 for 2 nights, highly disappointed

Refurbished? We had the keeper’s cottage which had holes in the walls and around the doors. The bathroom was unfinished and flooded when you showered and dangerously slippery, no blind on the window. Bed was sagging and uncomfortable. Staff were friendly but mistakes were made with bills so I suggest check everything. The courtyard garden with the slimy fountain and poor fish needs attention and the garden too. Our friends were disappointed too with problems with their rooms and bill at the end.
