We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustraliaMy wife and 2 female friends staying in other rooms, all noted that the only thing to fault was the very dark bathrooms. They were beautifully designed but there were NO lights by which to do makeup. A lighted makeup mirror would have been useful..
Really good location on the water and walkable to most places we visited. Seamless check-in. Cosy bar. Really well designed and furnished rooms. A pillow menu so we could choose the type we prefer.

I had been wanting to stay at the MACq 01 for several years and it did not disappoint. What a beautiful property. Our waterfront room was huge, warm and comfortable. We could almost touch the boats in the harbour and saw seals frolicking in the water when we woke in the morning. The hotel is filled with quirky tales of the area's history. The restaurant is fabulous, as is the Evolve cocktail bar, which is full of fossils. The MACq 01 is all things good. We cannot wait to come back.

And of course, the people greeting you and preparing your room, your drinks, your car… they’re all wonderful. They set the tone for the Hotel and it makes for such a pleasant stay.

AustraliaThe only thing I would mention that would help to keep the hotel feeling luxe is for the house keeping carts not to clutter the hallways for most of the day.
This is my 2nd time staying at MACq01, and it just gets better each time. The bed, the walk in closet, the bathroom, the view of Hobart, the room service... I honestly can't rave about it enough. Special shout out to Adrian and Harry on the front desk for being so helpful upon check in and check out. The valet staff were also incredibly friendly and accommodating. A+++!
