It rained all weekend - which was unfortunate for us, our host helped kept our woodpile well-stocked for the woodfire to keep us warm. Maybe a deck of cards or a game or two would have helped keep us entertained for when the weather is unsuitable to be outside. But there was plenty of DVD's to choose from and books to read.

we had ample food left for breakfast - even though they advised it would only be for one morning - we had enough left over to roll over to the next morning for the four of us.

If you only book out one barn you will be sharing the outdoor space with other guests so keen that in mind if you want something completely private.

Beautiful location with great views. The hosts were very accommodating. Once the fire was going the place heated up quickly and lovely!

The property is beautifully appointed and the location is fantastic. The owners are lovely. Steve always made sure we had enough firewood. A beautiful bottle of wine and plenty of provisions for breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. Great to see the historic Morialta Barns - circa 1847 be so beautifully restored.

Beautiful, peaceful location. The hosts, Steve and Fiona, have restored The Barns to create space where you don’t want for anything. The Loft has all kitchen facilities so we were able to prepare own meals. Breakfast provisions are provided for one morning but these provisions were generous. Wood fire was beautiful and Steve restocks wood supply every day. Definitely recommend.

The shower door gets slightly stuck, and I would probably suggest including bins in the bedrooms too. But that is probably all; every other amenity that was mentioned was available.

It was a beautiful stay, with a completely homey-cottage feel. The accommodation itself was clean and charming, with a beautiful outdoor area and very attentive, responsive, and knowledgeable hosts. We particularly appreciated help with, and having, the fireplace, and also the very abundant breakfast.

Beautifully restored, private and very comfortable accommodation. Lots of character, from the pot belly stove to the 4-poster bed overlooking the surrounding landscape. Well stocked kitchen. Our host made sure we had everything we needed including firewood, suggested routes and places to eat. Well located for day trips to the Barossa, Adelaide Hills and Victor Harbour.

So historical and beautifully restored. Lovely quiet country setting. The fire place offered warm and welcoming evenings and the Loft was amazingly appointed.

The location and the listening to the history was exceptional. The kitchen was very well stocked with breakfast goodies and a welcome bottle of wine. Lovely comfortable bed and very quiet location. Steve made sure we never ran out of firewood

The bathroom was very clean but for some reason there was a smell of urine. There's no smart TV so the movie options are limited.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Adelaide hills. The place is very nice and perfect for a romantic getaway. The owner was very nice and friendly

Morialta Barnes; Amazing comfort in spectacular surrounds, beautifully restored heritage listed sandstone Barnes. A fantastic location for access to the Morialta Conservation Park (lovely walks), numerous wineries & local eateries, with quick/easy access to Adelaide city. We could not fault our hosts knowledge/suggestions for walks, wineries, eateries and the 'local' (hotel) with extraordinary sunset views. We had the most amazing time and would recommend to family, friends and other travellers..

We had an absolutely fabulous time here. Attended a family weddingnearby and this served as our base for exploring the Adelaide Hills with elderly parents. The staff were super friendly and very happy to share the history of the propert. We will be back again

Everything was just wonderful.

Everything was just perfectly beautiful and the peaceful location was glorious. So much history in one place. A beautiful mini-retreat before a big week ahead. Nothing to fault at all. Attention to detail was noticed. From the big to the small. And loved the greeting from the host as well as the historical run down as we entered the Bakery. Much love has been poured in to making it a home away from home. Hosts were wonderful to communicate with also.
