On arrival we waited in a queue for 15 minutes to check in and on the day we left we returned to collect our cases and again had to wait in the queue for 15 minutes. This had not happened at the 2 other previous Oaks locations I have stayed at over the past 2 years. Also we were given incorrect information about carpark which was embarrassing and took longer 😳

The dishwasher broke in the night and could not be stopped and we had to wait all day the next day for someone to actually disconnect the wiring to stop it. The window was to the hall everyone passes. Self contained except there was nothing to cook on or with. They offered to wash up as the dishwasher was broken and didn’t come until the day we were checking out and asked us to leave early so they could clean.

Heatpump wasn't working well, and bathroom was very compact. The floor was all hard (no carpet), and the bed was on wheels, so leaning against the headboard didn't end well...

Staff were excellent. Room was internal, so no natural light, but not a problem. Room was comfortable and well equipped, and very clean.

The shower pressure could have been better (not a deal breaker). The floorboards were creaky. Extra blankets and pillows within the room would have been preferred as we didn't want to bother the staff.

Loved the kitchen facilities available. The shower was nice and spacious. The lifts were nice and fast. AC was left on before arrival, which was lovely to walk into given the day's weather. Staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful.

The aircon is very old so it takes ages to start working, the bathroom is TINY but good value for money

Window curtains in room had to be kept closed as looked out on a hotel corridor so consequently room always dark

The room needs an update. The entrance to the bathroom is 20cm from the edge of the bed and there is no sound proofing. The bathroom is super small, which I was expecting as I had read reviews and honestly it was a little better than I expected (as the shower didn't flood as some people claimed) but it was lucky there was a nice big mirror and table in the room, as I used that to do my hair and makeup, as you couldn't do that in the bathroom. Our room was also located across from the elevators, so it was pretty noisy when people were walking to and from the lifts or waiting for a lift, as you could hear everything they said. Also the pool was out of service which was a shame.

The location of the hotel was great. So convenient. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and spacious with good in room facilities (fridge, table and chairs, etc).
