Pool was not clean . Many green ants on level 1 told girl in reception she did not seem bothered.

Our only negative was the noisy plumbing when you used the shower. Running a bath was fine it was only when you turned the shower on.

Loved the size of the room and the view of the ocean esp at night when the lights went on. Was so nice to do my morning yoga stretching looking out to the ocean

We felt being a self contained unit the fry pans that we had to be used were pf very poor quality. A main drawcard to book this unit was that it had a full kitchen as we were planning to cook dinner for most of the nights we were there to save money but the fry pans were terrible. There could have been cooking oil/spray and salt and pepper available to use to cook also would be a great help. There was no broom - that we could find anyway. In regards to the pool we used it was full of algae - there was a lot of small green particles floating in the water. We only used the pool once for a very short time and I would not let the children use the pool again. The key for our room also was extremely hard to get into the key hole - this needs to be fixed.

Needs more cleaning, curtains, carpets and air-con vents in cupboard ,thick with fluff, dust etc.and very noisy. Maintenance in showers and power points coming off the walls, and also toilet leaking from the base in unsuite. ..needs hot water regulator..

There was nothing to dislike and everything to like about my stay at On The Beach Apartments. Very relaxed atmosphere and beautifully tropical.

Excellent location, across the road from the beach. The view from the room was beautiful ocean views, would definitely stay there again. Walking distance to great restaurants and wonderful esplanade walk either on the beach or pathway.

The internet connection was really LOUSY - at first we thought it was the distance from the reception area but this can’t be the reason because occasionally for a short time there was a good signal then it disappeared completely. We are non-smokers and found the smoke fumes on the balcony very unpleasant. If the glass door was open these spread through the woke apartment. Obviously one of the neighbors (perhaps long term resident) were heavy smokers.

The location could not be better. The life guarded swimming area is just across the street (a quiet dead end road). The apartment is spacious and well equipped and the top floor balcony has a view of the beach and hotel pool.

The water pressure in the shower was not the best but gets the job done eventually. The door for the patio was semi broken. We had to lift it and pull it to the side to access the patio. Also, no sharp knives were supplied for cooking purposes. We understand why. However, we believe a blunt knife causes more injuries than a sharp knife.

The location is fantastic, amazing views so close to beautiful beaches. Friendly staff, air conditioned. It was a lovely place to stay we really loved it. Great place to stay.

We love the location. However the room was very clean, cockrach poo in the cupboards. The toilet constantly ran with no tap to turn off. The washing or dryer did not work properly. There was a rusty old fan in the lounge room which we chose not to use.

The a/c in the bedroom was so noisy that you could not have it on. No ceiling fans made it very hot. The bed was so cheap you could feel every spring in it. My wife and I thought it was one of the worst we have ever tried to sleep on.

I actually had to slept on the couch! The air con unit was way too loud in the bedroom to even try and sleep. The couch was so much better and had sounds of the ocean- bliss. (also ants were an issue in the kitchen)

There was only 1 tall & 1 small drinking glass (lots of wine glasses)and no plastic glasses to take to the pool. Pool also needed the sides cleaned and a little more shade.

The only thing was that our rooms were not in the same block as our other family members. There are 3 separate blocks of apartments. But on saying that we had booked our apartment beginning of year and second one was booked after mid-year. Just in future I would ask for apartments to be near each other as being Christmas we wanted to use the Bar-B-que facilities and swim in the pool together with spa. That was the three main things we were after. But not On the Beach apartment's fault. So definitely not complaining unforeseen circumstances at this time of year. Cyclone Jasper 2023.

Even though we could not stay here for our stay due to unforeseen circumstances, (Broken Air Conditioner) which was not the property's fault. Old unit and had just gone through Cyclone Dec 2023. The Manager Gerald was very apologetic and rang around to get us another apartment close by which he did at the same cost for what we had paid and close by within walking distance as we had family staying in another room at "On the Beach" to spend Christmas together. We stayed one night the location was excellent, apartment was very roomy and spacious and very clean. We had our 3 grandchildren with us well laid out apartment. Pool was very close and beach just across the road. With in walking distance to some great cafes and restaurants. Would definitely recommend On the Beach. We will definitely book with them again.
