The only criticism I have is for the bathroom. The sink is way too small and there really isn't anywhere to put your toiletry bag and worse if there's two of you. Everything else is fine and this wouldn't stop me rebooking given all the other positives.

There is so much to like about this hotel. It's location is brilliant for going to the theatre and the restaurants and bars that are close by are top notch. The staff are super friendly and very helpful with hints for getting around the area and anything you need in the room. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and everything you need is there. Its quiet and easy to get to in a side street. Excellent value for money.

Great location close to Parliament train station and tram stops. Lots of restaurants and cafes close by. Metro 2 mins walk away for supplies. The kitchenette was handy for preparing breakfast. Spacious rooms. There was a lolly bar near the lift! Wonderful welcoming and helpful staff.

The internet kept dropping which made it difficult and annoying to cast to the tv. The basin in the bathroom is tiny and very difficult to use for teeth brushing and washing your face without getting water on the floor.

I liked that there was always was bottled water available for us to take and my husband loved the lolly bar! The staff were very helpful and one of the ladies printed a list of recommended restaurants, bars and coffee shops, as well as giving us tips for things to do and places to see.

The feather pillows were surprisingly hard this time!

Amazing location but its the customer service that really makes Ovolo Laneways my go-to hotel in Melbourne. I was given a free room upgrade and upon entering the room there was a cute welcome gift of jellybeans with a note saying "We've missed you, it's 'bean' a while". Adorable! The amenities in the room are always exceptional, and the staff are always friendly.

We booked for a family of 4 with two children but they didn't give us two single beds. They had the room configured with two double beds and they couldn't change it for us when we checked in.
