From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything about our stay was perfect. I brought my mum—an absolute Home and Away fanatic—and we stayed in the ground level room with an ensuite. It was spotless and comfortable. Rudi and Avalon are the kindest, most thoughtful hosts. They gave us fantastic tips on filming locations and the best local spots to eat. After our day out, we returned to find the heater on and the lounge room set up for Mum to watch her favourite show—such a thoughtful touch! Breakfast was a real treat—don’t leave without trying Avalon’s homemade granola, it’s a standout! Watching Rudi feed the birds was a highlight, and we were lucky enough to have kookaburras perched on our hands. The tropical gardens added a peaceful, relaxing vibe to the whole experience. I honestly can’t recommend this bed and breakfast highly enough. The space is beautiful, the atmosphere is calming, and the hosts are truly incredible people. A memorable and heartwarming stay!

Everything was perfect!

Rudi’s knowledge of the area helped us to make the most of our time in Palm Beach. Avalon’s breakfasts and the amazing bird feeding experience. Friendly and helpful hosts. It was close to the ferry around the Pittwater. The Bible Garden was a plus as it provided fantastic views of Palm Beach and a beautiful space.

Slight mustiness inside due to the humidity of the climate, however, it HAD been raining for about 3 weeks straight so that probably accounted for it, particularly as the house was spotless and clearly very well cared for. Perhaps some diffusers placed around could assist with this.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation with friendly and personable hosts Rudi & Avalon. Very good continental breakfast with plenty of choice including Avalon's own homemade granola mix which was delicious with the natural yoghurt and very good quality specialty breads for toasting and enjoying with a range of toppings. Avalon has thought of everything required in a bathroom including shampoo, conditioner, body cream, makeup remover wipes, hairdryer and good quality towels. The shower was excellent and didn't leak and although the basin is small, it does the job nicely. Natty cane table with tuck-away chairs in the room and also in the breakfast room which don't take up too much space. A lush, tropical garden with the added delightful bonus of a visit from wild but extremely tame kookaburras, rainbow lorikeets and sulphur-crested cockatoos that Rudi fed during breakfast providing quite an amazing show! Rudi & Avalon are very hands-on hosts serving breakfast and providing local information and interesting conversation. For us, a much more enjoyable experience staying at a traditional-style bed and breakfast than an impersonal Airbnb!

Rudi and Avalon were exceptional hosts. They provided a "European" style Bed and Breakfast experience. Avalon provided unique, artistic and culinary touches which made all the guest feel welcome. Rudi is a very interesting person regaling us with stories about many exhibits (mainly automotive) on display. Keep up the good work and hopefully we can get back some day.

Beautiful location amazing garden and lovely views. Quirky interior unique with lovely warm welcoming owners. Nothing too much trouble and a nice breakfast. Hand fed the birds which was fascinating to behold.

Excellent location, with lots of trees, and beautiful views of the sea. The hosts were extremely pleasant, and helpful. It was a wonderful stay, and the breakfast was exceptional!

We had a beautiful night away. Rudi & Avalon were so kind and the place was beautifully kept. The room was perfect with a beautiful balcony. A big highlight was the lovely breakfast with the birds. Incredible. Thank you!

The breakfasts were lovely and fresh to set us up for the day. Avalon and Rudy were the nicest, friendliest and most hospitable hosts anyone could wish for. The stay was like home from home, only better. And the wild bird experience in the mornings over breakfast was just beautiful!
