How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It's not that I didn't like but I couldn't figure out how to use the TV remote. Also the bathroom had run out of conditioner.
I was in room 16:00. The bed was sooooo comfortable as was the pillows. It was like sleeping on a cloud. I loved the light coming into the apartment.

Not a big issue - We were tuned in onto the Netflix and realised the previous occupant's account and details were still activated. Perhaps there needs to be a note to the hotel guests to remember to log out when checking out.
The location is perfect..all within a short walk from the many cafes, restaurants and shops. Super convenient and lovely suburb.

No fan in the bathroom. Too much spray used before we turned up.
The location was perfect. The bed was super comfortable. The pillows were right for the bed.

One main issue I had, I’m not sure if this is an Aussie thing but the duvet was strange. It was not encased in a normal duvet cover, it was sitting in between two sheets, which meant at night it was just a bit of a mess unless you do not move at all. It also would have been nice if we were provided with more basics in the kitchen like olive oil or just cooking oil. And a proper lock on the door would have been great as ours didn’t work
Loved it!! Perfect little studio apartment, room was spacious, kitchen had everything, bathroom was great with a good size shower, AC worked very well, and TV had lots of channels including Netflix. The location was fabulous, on a quiet/safe road with about a 5 minute walk to the station, many bars and restaurants. They had a communal washing machine and dryer which I used at a small price. I also arrived late in the night and the staff were very helpful in sending me the instructions to get in, which was super easy. It was just a really comfortable and lovely stay!

Wonderful staff, super friendly and helpful. Very accommodating when we needed an extra hour to check out. Offered to upgrade us to a bigger space for free when they had a last minute cancellation. Amazing location, super easy to find from train station.

The busy location can sometimes mean it's a little noisy.

They dont really clean/vacuum the floor. We stayed for 5 nights, they change towels every 2 days.
Location is great close to train station, plenty of restaurants, supermaket, wine shops

The venue was over priced…. It was the Taylor Swift weekend and the price was elevated compared to other weekends
Location was great with easy access to tram and train. Staff were excellent, especially Mami….she held our suitcases on arrival and until we were leaving . They organised to get our luggage to our room

Very modern and spacious for a one bedroom, full kitchen that you could make proper home cooked meals in, the staff were lovely and it was walking distance to everything on top of the convenience of about 250m walk to the local train station

I could hear noisy neighbours as i was ss trying to sleep.
Great large apartment Fantastic location , close to shops and restaurants. Staff were very accommodating, and let me check in early and check out late Full kitchen, although I didn't need it, this time is always good to know is there. Supplied body wash, shampoo conditioner, and hair-dryer :) Parking available on site.

There was a little bit of noise transfer from other units but everyone respected the request to keep noise down from eight. Small bar fridge.
Location was great, close to train and easy access to city, tennis or MCG. Staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. Washing machine and dryer a aula let too. Shower was one of the best I've had travelling.

Kitchen very old and tired
