Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The cutlery and crockery weren’t very clean
The staff were very friendly especially the lady that came out on Friday night after hours to help me get the keys and check in to the apartment. Also the lady on the front reception desk that helped me extend my stay

The beds were terribly uncomfortable. Fridge wasn't working, only kept food cool not cold. WiFi didn't work on the TV.

-My shower didn't get hot & there was hair on the wall in the shower & in the bedroom -In the bedroom above the curtain there was heaps of dust & I have bad allergies, so I was sneezing most of the night -The aircons didn't seem to get really cold either, so I had to shut all the curtains, but it still didn't get much cooler unfortunately -My key kept getting stuck in my door

Shower door didn't shut properly, the glass was hitting each other. Needed to be adjusted , I was scared we could of smashed it when closing it.

Our stay was very comfortable but the cleaning staff come before 10 am and tried to kick us out. We had a 5 mth old baby and can’t rush. She was very rude

Uncomfortable bed..
The property was close to the stadium. Had all the amenities necessary. The receptionist was lovely very friendly second time staying here and she made our welcome feel homely.

The left leg in the middle of the single bed was not there which made it hard to sleep it felt like you were going to full out of bed. Could have been cleaner and some things need to be updated

A little overpriced for my 10 day stay however was happy to pay because it suited my needs, I am a regular that book with Kensington perhaps a discount/loyalty reward system for regular bookings at Kensington. It would be helpful to have trolleys down in car park to allow to take luggage and shopping items for a single person. Sometime the rubbish chute bin will be smelly as you walk pass.
The balcony, the privacy and location. Kitchen and utilities were so convenient for my stay and cooking at home made things easy.

Upon approach to the reception to collect our keys I was curtly asked why did I complete check in on line as it is unusual and that I am the only one who has done that. Yet the email I was sent prompted me to check in on line and make payment prior to arriving at the hotel. I was sent several texts and emails asking when I would be checking in. I stated that we were unsure but possibly around 3pm to 4pm. I stated this every time they asked. We drove 7 hours to get to Townsville only to be called during our drive to ask when we would be checking in. We pulled over to return the call only to be asked again when we would be arriving. Unfortuately AGAIN I STATED THAT I WOULD BE ARRIVING AROUND 3PM TO 4PM and was told that I would be text a code to get into the afterhours lock box to collect our key. I asked what time does reception close and she said 7PM. Then proceeded to instruct me on how to access the lock box. I told her that I do not need to get into the lock box as I intended to arrive well before 7pm and will collect our room key at the reception. All that was so unnecessary and really annoying. As for the room, The microwave was dirty and one of the bedside lamps was broken. there were stains in the carpet. a mop bucket provided but no mop. we stayed 4 nights and no service. apparently only serviced once a week. told to collect amenities from the reception 200mtrs walk from the hotel but when we asked for more body wash and toilet paper we were told they don't have any body wash?? I expect to have all the amenities provided, at least for the days we are booked in for, I am somewhat disappointed at that. 1 tiny body wash is not enough for two people for 4 days.
location is excellent centralised and great views from our 7th floor apartment. the aircon was excellent and the laundry facilities are excellent. the kitchen is set up very well with loads of room and storage. the balcony is amazing.

The apartment was in need of refurbishment - the carpet was badly stained, paintwork ordinary - it looks a bit shabby

The pool area was a disappointment and the area did not match the photos. The apartment needs modernising and mould control in the bathroom. The tea and coffee were not stocked and when staying for 2 days it would be great to have 2x milk.
Lovely staff and good communication from them. The secure parking is excellent and the location is handy as it's close to shops, cafes and the town centre can be reached on foot in 20mins.
