Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaA part from the room not being ready well Into 2:30 with a 2pm check in, there was awful construction noise once I got to the room so we were moved. We then were moved to a downgraded room, only to be interrupted twice with cleaning staff and hotel staff(or a guest still unsure) and walked in on, on both occasions without a knock at the door!!! For the price we paid, and the name QT has, I expected an exceptional hotel. It was disappointing and I will never stay there again.
breakfast was the stand out and the bar

Australiawe had an adjoining room with door in between and could hear all the noise next door at 3.30am for a couple of hrs , could not sleep, it was terrible. we were forgotten about at breakfast, had to ask to have our order take a after 20mins. Waited another 35 and then asked where our breakfast was and they had not put order through to the kitchen and did not seem to bothered about the inconvenience and huge amount of time wasted. We had to leave with no breakfast. Very dissatisfied.

New ZealandI called the front desk because we were woken up at 4 am by very loud "adult noises" happening from outside our room. An hour and a half later we were still kept awake and "adult sounds" still happening. We called the second time to complain and both times the staff acted nonchalant. No apology once or offer of remedying the situation. Bad customer service. Noone followed up. Stayed 3 nights during Easter weekend. Will never stay at a QT again.

AustraliaIt was overpriced, and customer service was just okay. For a 5 star hotel, we also expected some complimentary water, slippers and toothbrushes/toothpaste.
Overall it was a pleasant stay. Rooms were nice and clean, and the included breakfast was delicious.

AustraliaThe noise from the construction site over the road really tarnished my stay. I was not made aware of the construction noise prior to my stay and not even at check in. The noise went past 8pm on the Friday night I stAyed. When I called to complain about it I waited on the phone for 6 minutes before anyone at reception would take my call. The man at the desk said it was exceptionally late and that he had been trying to contact the council. Nothing was offered to me. I paid full price for a room that was totally noise polluted. The banking and drilling and machinery noise started at 8am. So no sleep in. It’s really disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend staying here while the construction site is active. Shame because it’s a beautiful hotel.
The room is well equipped and modern. Loved the Kevin Murphy products.

AustraliaThe bathroom had see through glass walls. From the room you could see into the bathroom (particularly the shower) which was completely inappropriate for a twin share room. This made me very angry and for this reason I will never stay in a QT hotel again.
The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was spotless. The staff were also lovely.

Australiaunfortunately, and taking into account they were busy, Hotel staff were not super welcoming, in fact, aside from a room attendant removing a cot in our room (who was lovely) and restaurant staff (who were amazing) reception & guest services were almost unwelcoming & not really in a mood to help out…
have stayed previously and staff were amazing, last time…

CambodiaHaving said the above, the staff at QT Melbourne were a letdown compared to QT Newcastle and QT Sydney. Cold, unwelcoming and abrupt. This was only isolated to the restaurant during breakfast. Over the 3 days we stayed. There was little to no spoken words except "are you ready to order", and "can I get you something to drink". Even when trying to engage in conversation it was very clear no-one was interested.
QT is my favourite hotel brand. The style, vibe and staff are generally brilliant.

AustraliaNo room service provided - not what you would expect for a $800 per night room. Also for a room this expensive, being on only the 2nd floor was a little disappointing - but manageable. Just not being able to have the room serviced properly was disappointing and the lack of service to remedy this.
Great open plan room design and style, comfy bed, great to have included amenities for the bath. Great location and good included breakfast. Friendly staff, and the lone night facilities manager who tried to help us when our room was not made up was very helpful and did the best he could to make it up for us.

AustraliaWe had reserved an Executive King Room. I had requested a quiet room at time of booking and I received a message from the hotel to say this could be accommodated. Upon checking in, we found the allocated room was directly opposite the elevators and faced the street . The street noise at night was rough and despite double glazing it did not make for a good nights sleep. Next day we were moved to a deluxe king on the side of the building. The walls between rooms are not adequately sound proofed and we were woken each night by people in adjoining rooms coming in late and playing music , talking loudly and at 4.30am one morning by their coffee machine and TV
Location do eat out in the city, sight see, access to galleries, Chinatown is excellent
