Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Unfortunately, at the time of our stay the building next door was being demolished and the noise level was significant. Ear plugs would have been useful. thats April 2024.
Everything was perfect. Woolworths only 5 minute walk away.

A little further than we thought from the convention center. It has a bath in the main bathroom which was a challenge for the older person in our group.
Very clean, with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Comfortable beds, plenty of pillows etc. There was enough space for the 4 of us in a 2 bedroom so we didn't feel cramped. Reception was very helpful with extra sheets and organising taxis.

we had the apartment serviced for the first three days, but then never again for no clear reason. Plus, the cleaning was not accurate. The bedroom had no window, so it was very dark. Gym was supposed to be open from 5am, but on easter day it was still closed at 6.10am and reception was not attended

You only get one key to the room so it’s hard if you need to go out separately.
Location was great, parking was easy to use. Cleaning crew was amazing.

Accidental charge added after checkout but that has been sorted out now.
Location was great for the Grand Prix. Walking distance from Albert Park. Room was larger than expected.

Asked housekeeping manager if there was any water she said yes tap water ...when checking out we were told filtered water was available in reception, no map...receptionist when we checked in had no customer service the one when we checked out was lovely .....toiler brush holder was scruffy , no.mirror

Great location for NYE festivities and close to our friend's apartment as well. Southbank is a 5 minute walk. Room was great. Lovely and clean with modern furniture. Everything you needed was available - crockery, cutlery, and importantly wine glasses and coffee (pod) machine! Staff and reception were very helpful. Check in and out was smooth and quick. Really loved the snack bar in reception for when you had the munchies but didn't want to go out. Great value for money. Would happily stay again.

Melbourne was in the middle of a heatwave and the room was quite stuffy. Unfortunately there didn't seem to be a way to turn the air conditioning up.
Great location and one of the few places that have a three-bedroom apartment available. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

When we booked Quest sent a message asking checkin time, room type e.g single or double bed, and or parking. This we responded to as requested by calling reception, we received again twice as a message the same request for information. Why?

Balcony space didn’t suit the number of guests staying and not really enough lounge space for 5/6 people. It was inconvenient to not be able to contact reception when we didn’t have enough towels in our room as reception staff start late

It was a little pricey, but we were there in peak season, so I’m not surprised.
The location was excellent, the apartment was spacious and well appointed and everything was clean and fresh.

We stayed through the week and unfortunately there is construction across the road that started around 7am. This can’t be helped and isn’t the fault of the property.
Great location, short walk to the MCG - roughly 20 minutes and close to the river for a leisurely walk. Very clean, spacious room for 2 people. Check in staff were so welcoming and friendly. Cafe downstairs was also great for a quick coffee

Given a room. Wrong room and key. It was super busy at check in and the reception team were really pleasant and friendly so only a little mistake. Given a room on the first floor so pretty dark and no view. But hey we weren’t there much. They happily store your luggage which is great.
Fab location. Chosen for the proximity to the Taylor Swift concert at the MCG. Kind of pricy because we were barely there. Prob should have just got a hotel room. Didn’t need kitchen and laundry facilities. It was very quiet - the quietest room I have ever had in Melbourne. Great restaurant below. Really close to crown casino and restaurants. Easy walk to flinders and shopping. Or to arts precinct and then down to the tram to st Kilda if you want the beach or shopping at Chapel st. Rollaway bed provided at $50 extra a night. It was set up and comfy. So $370 a night for a mum and 2 daughters.

I know it couldn't be helped but the construction site opposite the hotel (don't know if it was being built or torn down) but it was noisy. Hopefully the next time I come down it will be finished. I also didn't want to leave as I was enjoying being in Melbourne.
The location of the hotel was great, it was only a few minutes walk to the Melbourne Recital Centre where I was going to see a concert. My room was great, good size for one person and the bed was comfortable.
