How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

amazing location! big grocery store right beside building. 20min walk to pedestrian only center of the city. lovely pool and gym.

Bed was quite hard (even for me who has a firm mattress) but sheets were very clean! Only basic Foxtel package on TV. No free to air (stayed during Aus Open fortnight) or streaming capabilities (only screen sharing and the quality was poor) but had my laptop so not an issue as WiFi was suitable for streaming.
Excellent location and quiet. Room was clean and comfortable. Good sized kitchen to cook meals. Great pool and spa facilities. Gym was suitable and clean. 50m walk to Woolworths, pharmacy and liquor store (and under cover)

The spa down at the pool needed a clean or a water change, as it wasn't very clean at all. The aircon in the unit wasn't very efficient.
The location in the city is very good - close to central station, the CBD and the Valley, many restaurants and shops. Views from higher floors are great. Staff were fantastic - checking in and out was seamless.

Could have been a lot better if there were more options to the TV channels.
The whole apartment was clean and it had all the amenities we needed to make our stay an enjoyable one. Very good kitchen with all the necessary utensils and cooking ware we needed. The beddings, shower towels and other necessities were available including washer, dryer and a dish washer.

Carpet and TV need to be updated.
Staff were amazing, super accomodating, friendly and helpful The amenities, Gym and pool were great. Accomodation is close to all, shops , walking distance to queen street mall, southbabk and riverside.

The shower over the bath. Sometimes felt a bit unsafe stepping out. Perhaps a nonslip slip mat would be helpful. Paid for 6 nights, extra coffee and toilet paper would have been appreciated to reflect our length of stay n
Location is excellent, walking distance to the City centre. Love the large space and apartment. Most facilities were great and plentiful. Easy afterhour check-in and staff at front desk were awesome.

The lift was out of service one of the days but it was fixed relatively quick. The instructions for the parking arrangements need to be more detailed. But thats not a big issue.

Provision of a non-stick pan would be nice. A rack for the bathtub or shower is needed for holding additional body wash and shampoo.

The chairs and couch are totally worn out and not very comfy.
The check in and out was easy and the staff was always really helpful and friendly. Great beds, showers and all in working order, from washing machine to dryer to dishwasher and lots more. You find everything you need in the kitchen. We also loved the spa, pool and gym and the BBQ, all in perfect clean and working order. We felt very secure in the apartment and the city is just a stroll away.

The bathroom is a bit old, could be renewed, but it suits.
Very nice and comfortable apartment downtown Brisbane, close to all main attractions and the river, and not on a main street (no noise by the traffic). Beautiful panoramic view from the terrace. Hot pool available, laundry in the apartment (highly appreciated!). We loved this stay! Economically convenient.
