Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The location was excellent. Walking distance to great eating places, to local sites, the ferry to MONA. Liked the car park, and lift to the room. Rooms were bright, had balcony access and view.

I did not find reception at first and you can't enter the parking area without the key.
Very close to the pier and small coffee shops. The room was clean, they provided tea,coffee,cookies.

Close to Salamanca. Easy, free parking. The apartments need upgrading. No coffee machine. Shower over bath which would be difficult for older patrons.

Kitchen cutlery & crockery was limited and no complementary water bottles in fridge, Couldn't quite figure out washing machine dryer function and couldn't find an instruction booklet, otherwise everything else was great
Apartments are in an excellent location, close to adjacent restaurants, pubs, cafes and markets. Easy parking right next to apartment entrance with lift access to room. Well appointed room, ample space, very comfortable bed, and great view of harbour from front verandah. Would stay here again

There was nothing we didn't like. My only comment would be that unfortunately the clothes drier didn't work despite a maintenance person being called to look at it.
We had a one bedroom apartment which enabled us to spread out a bit and make our breakfast if we wished to do so. The location is quite unique close to everything in Battery Point, walkable to shops, restaurants and the dock. We arrived and locked up our car for the 3 days. Our car was in a secure outdoor parking area. The staff were so helpful and right onto any problem that cropped up. We hope to make a return trip in the future and would recommend Salamanca Terraces to friends. Cheers Dianne

Shower in the bath, can be quite slippery.
Close to lots of great eateries and a short walk to Construction Dock. I prefer the Salamanca Suites which are more modern but it was booked out unfortunately.

I felt it was a little run down.
It was central. Had 4 days & didn’t require house keeping, just asked for tea, coffee etc on the second last day, but came back to it all cleaned & fresh towels, which we appreciated.

The shower over bath was a downside. Particularly with older people. Balance, step-over bathtubs onto a slippery bath is not a good idea and could very easily lead to falls with breakages. We would recommend that they be replaced with a shower cubicle in the same area as a big increase in safety.
Location to the City and to Salamanca Place. The quietness in the location was also an attribute. It was very well maintained. The meals were superb.

Rooms are the opposite of soundproof. We were on the first floor and could hear peoples conversations on the street below. The apartment is spacious but the furniture does not make use of this - the decor is thoughtless; the couch was small and uncomfortable. Shower-over-bath set up. I think, for the price, its actually what you might expect in terms of quality.
Great location, right in the heart of Salamanca and close to Hobart town centre and Battery point. Great place to be on a Saturday for the markets. So many great food choices nearby. Private parking was great. Washing machine.
