It was very noisy during the night

It was ideally located just a short walk to the chairlift, riverfront and shops.

Rooms were a little small but provided what is needed for a stay

Great location with breakfast included. Close to Thredbo village and a walk a way from activists such as hiking trails, MTB and skiing (for the winter)

We come to Thredbo to enjoy the Downhill Mountain Biking and The River Inn is where we stay every time! The accommodation and breakfast, is value for money, easy to navigate, with ample bike storage. As a parent I love the free this place gives my boy!

Breakfast - could have more options. Bike storage could be bigger - would be difficult to store bikes without damage if it was really busy.

Location - right in easy access to everything. Ability to store bikes safely

One time (not this time) we booked a double room and were put back to back with a dorm full of teenage boys (while the parents stayed in one of the quiet rooms). After that experience we've learnt to specifically request a quiet room away from groups or families.

We've stayed here a few times in summer as we find it really good value, particularly with the free breakfast (toast & cereal). We requested one of the rooms with the balcony by the side of the road as some of the other rooms can be back-to-back with noisy dorm rooms. We were please they accommodated our request.

I think the rooms are a bit spartan and could do with a freshen up.

Perfect location for a MTB break - couldn't be better as its within easy and flat reach of the lifts and easy walk to the village. Rooms are perfectly good for a short break. The Bar/Restaurant is great, especially if (like me) you like Gin.

Please note that this is only Constructive advice...Low staffing on the front desk means that it's rare to see anyone there or have a query answered when you need it. Plus I would prefer to have someone check me in to answer anything at the beginning..As a person who has run businesses, I would staff the desk during the day from at least 9am to 5pm when most people need to check in/check out or have queries, as this is just one shift a day and worth it for good PR and service..

I requested an easy access room with own door out and was placed in Room 1, which was perfect,, I had stayed in this room some years earlier so was very impressed with the lovely renovation and large king size bed. The room semed much larger and definitely very comfortable for a 3 night stay for someone who prefers to self cater & wants easy access to outside and from the front door.. Very quick and easy to unload gear and check out quickly for a person with an ankle injury.. This room has great disability access to come and go and to shower, so I would recommend it to anyone with mobility issues.. Nice to have the Breakfast option, which I used all 3 days, even though that is rare for me, particularly that coffee machine which made a surprisingly good coffee for a fussy "one a day drinker". Though some people would say you are too far from the Village, I see this as an advantage as on a big Festival weekend it's great to be able to come home for some peace and quiet. And there are shuttle buses right nearby if you can't or don't feel like walking. Beautiful walk in however over & beside the river and I would recommend that amble..
