There were a couple of things, exposed wiring in the main bedrooms wardrobe, power point without cover, outside table with burns on and the outside sun chair without cushions.

The location was great. Not far from the beach and close the Broadbeach North light rail stop. Room was great, plenty of room and all the facilities were modern and clean.

Staff were not particularly friendly - charged $200 bond for stay without prior notice and then an additional $30 to push two single beds together in second bedroom. Rooms and pools were nice - other facilities were a little tired.

Waves are a bit tight with the little things, eg. we had a spare bed booked and there were no pillows so we called for an extra 2 pillows but they only had 1 available (!?); only one dishwasher powder sachet for 7 people over 3 nights, so pack your own dishwasher powder and toilet paper. Staff seemed like they were under instructions to give nothing away, couldn't even get into the room early, were told they might be able to but didn't, I get that they have cleaning to do but just say no instead of stringing us along for 3 hours. Of course we couldn't get a late check out (check out is an early 10am) either but by then we had learned not to expect anything. On check out we had lost a key card so they attempted to charge $80 to replace a 10c piece of plastic as per the "welcome letter". No lamps in the lounge area of our apartment made it less cosy. We'll stay there again but now know what to expect..

The noise! The rubbish truck noise before 6am every day and the construction of the building next door starting at 7 am. We understand that The Wave cannot help the noise levels and the hotel did send numerous communications prior to our arrival to notify us. However, we weren't expecting the level of noise experienced. Such a shame as it did maar an otherwise perfect experience.

Construction noise and street noise on weekends but we were warned and it is next door so not within the building and something they can control.

Location is superb the apartment had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy a family trip.

Quite noisy - street noise, washing machine, dishwasher, heating/air con (everything just seemed a lot louder than usual) not ideal for getting good sleep but not a massive issue
