It is quite expensive for a hostel. We also didn't get the rubbish bin cleaned for the first 4 days and had to ask for it to be done. Turns out they just hadn't given us a door handle sign but then forgot to give us one after we asked.

No aircon in the dorm rooms, which normally wouldn't be a problem in Melbourne, but happened to be there on the week of pure sun, which made for uncomfortable sleeping!

Centrally located and good sized dorm rooms, beds were super comfy, with curtains making it private which on some days when solo travelling is nice. Staff make an effort with social events to get people talking!

Only 2 ladies toilets on the floor and 1 was clogged most of the time I was there, some of the shower doors didn't lock but luckily there wasn't a queue most of the time. The kitchen fridges were jam packed and the electricity stopped working one of the days. The communal area by the kitchen gets really noisy at night with people playing music so hard to talk/work. The lockers in the bed are annoying, you keep bumping off them and also the lock is fiddly so just didn't use it at all

Beds are comfy, nice features like lights and curtains. Good group chat and fun events on all the time. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good facilities with a cinema room, bar in the basement but you don't hear it upstairs. Location was really good to see everything in the city and not too far from the skybus

There was some noise and music going on until quite late (past midnight) that i could hear from my room. It didn’t bother me too much, but wouldn’t have been ideal if i had needed to get an early night.

Amazing location!! Lots to do within walking distance. The hostel also organised lots of group activities every day so it’s perfect if you’re looking to meet people. Beds also had curtains which blocked out the light really effectively :)

Pretty loud in the evening from Bar downstairs and street next to it. The kitchen was never really clean, too little space in the fridges, bathrooms are outdated and dirty and have no windows, the staff people was always in the kitchen occupying the space and being lou

The locker inside of the bed space was in an awkward position and was difficult to open. Made the bed feel a little cramped as you would sometimes hit your knee on it

Great location, loads of activities planned, private showers/toilets, nice kitchen and work space. Met some great people, staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and was given a towel for $6 which was nice.

The plug socket was loose and didn’t hold my plug in. Awkward positioning of the cupboard in the bed meant I woke up bashing it with my leg

No locker storage (still fine because of the box in the beds) and hard to sleep on warm nights because there are only two fans

Nice kitchen area, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Lot of events around city and at the downstairs bar that make it easy to meet people and keep dorms more quiet. Love the curtains on the beds as well as the little storage box to keep clothes easily accessible. Laundry is expensive but includes soap and convenient.

Common areas close before midnight, not too social vibe, more like a live-work-sleep hostel.

Very well equipped and super central location. Beds have lamps, adapter sockets and usb chargers, so very convenient and comfortable hostel. Big bathrooms.

Location and staff

Great located but not noisy during night as bedrooms not facing the main road. Friendly and helpful staff. This place and common area been regularly cleaned. It’s cafeteria very cozy and nice breakfast too. Only drawback no AirCon in bedroom some hot days the room was very hot l was sweating and woke up a few times.

The cupboard INSIDE the bunk was so stupid. Every time I turned over in the night I smacked my knees on the bottom of it and I have very bruised sketchy looking knees now. Also it was 12° outside at night and the windows open so little, that it was 25° inside the room. Fans didn’t do much

I liked the central location. The bar in the basement was cute. They give you a free welcome drink. I loved the amount of activities the hostel does together. Helped me get out at night or just at the beginning to make friends
