The tower suite top floor ceiling was leaking water (rain), when I asked the staff apparently it was a ‘known issue’. It didn’t bother us as it was on the top floor, but when you’re paying top dollar for the experience you’d hope that the room would be watertight…. The restaurant or hotel needs to reevaluate their pricing. the rooms are very pricey - even for mid week, and the pub meals are circa $30+ each, which led to us eating takeaway instead. If they were affordable we would’ve happily eaten in house, maybe some counter meal options or at least a discount for guests??

The tower suite was a real spectacle, love the location and the old pub feel. Staff are always lovely and helpful!

Very tired, the smoke alarm beeping outside our room water temp in shower wasn't able to comfortably regulate food in bistro average.

After hours entrance could be paved, not great for heels. Wasn’t sure where to leave keys upon early morning departure. Main entrance is quite dark and does not give you the greatest first impression. Could do with a slightly gully bigger bin.

Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. All amenities you could need, even earplugs. Well located. Really well priced. Staff were friendly. We would stay again. Did use breakfast as we had to leave early but was great inclusion.

There were many small maintenance problems which needed to be fixed. Apparently the hotel was aware but didn’t repair them. Due to the old hotel, the water pipes were incredibly loud in the morning (siren!) We were given ear plugs .. restaurants were under our room.

The hotel is old and situated on the main road. Parking directly out the front. Big room with high ceilings and very big bathroom.

Cob webs on the inside of the windows in our room (perhaps a reflection of the "old" rustic Charm of the property....) and the incredibly loud noise that woke us on our first morning, which was possibly coming from the pipes when a neighbouring room was showering. The hot water was also a bit touch and go when showering.This may very well be expected for such an old property (circa. 1888), however, having this fixed to provide comfort to future guests may be a great consideration 😀 Other than this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The bed was very soft. The rooms could do with a modern makeover. The price was very high for the size and quality of the room. Breakfast was included, however we didn't partake.

Room was clean. Location great for visiting the Yarra Valley. Staff were lovely.

Parking, hot water

Lovely old building- great location, but parking was difficult. Room was exceptionally clean and bed very comfortable. Hot water was a challenge due to usage throughout the hotel. Great staff in the morning! Very friendly and helpful! A good stay!
