Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceThe size of the bathroom. There was no social interaction with other guests, not as you would expect at a hostel.
The location is great, walking distance to most attractions in the city centre. The facilities themselves are very basic, one of the rooms has a very small bathroom, and another room has a bigger bathroom but a very small bedroom area. It’s advisable to check what room you are getting before you reserve.

United StatesOutlets only at lower bunks in my dorm. Need extra long cord to charge phone from top bunk or not have phone on your bunk.
Air conditioning! Clean and comfortable. Female-only dorm. Very small pool which I did not use. Clothesline outside to hang damp clothes. On street parking. Kitchen and microwave, refrigerator. Standard USA outlet. Nice breeze through common areas. Walking distance to downtown Oranjestad.

ItalyThe room I was in was the 4 bunk beds and it was full. Once everybody had their luggage out there was not much space, which was fine. What was less fine was I had the upper bunk which was very high, it was hard to go up and come down (with just the 3 steps vertical ladder) and the bed didn't have any guard rail (I was so stress to fall down). Also, no outlets or place to put your phone up there. If I go again I will be very careful to ask for the lower bad.
Location was great, very close to the city center, 12 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the closest beach. Lots of coffees and restaurant around. Perfect at the beginning or the end of your Aruba trip or like a base to move around the island. The pool and the garden were lovely, wifi worked great and the common spaces were nice, spacious (bathroom included, great shower) and comfortable.

BulgariaFrankly speaking, this is one of the best hostels in my life. There is air conditioning in the room, there is a fully equipped kitchen, and what is more amazing, there is a gorgeous swimming pool which is always empty of any people. I deffo recommend this hostel and I will be back. There are a lot of common spaces to relax or to work online. The swimming pool is surrounded by palms and the location is perfect - 10 minutes walking to the marina and 40 minutes walking to the delightful beaches :) One little minus is the a-bit-coldish water in the shower but this is so everywhere in the Caribbean :)

United StatesI ended up getting a top bunk and the ladder seemed more like it was made for child access so it was hard to get on and off. The other traveler also had trouble. The top bunks don't have dedicated power outlets either so you'd need to charge your devices at the main power outlet if you want to have a fully charged phone throughout the night. There also isn't a dedicated light for each bed which is a plus but not necessarily needed but a nice perk.
The place was very well kept, the owners were very attentive and friendly as well as the other travelers. I enjoyed my stay here. It was within walking distance to the Arubus Station and tourist area which was great. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend anyone traveling to stay in this area.

Overall, this was a very nice stay. The location is very walkable to the downtown tourist area. The Arubus also passes down this street on it's way to the Bus Terminal however; I'm not sure where the official bus stop is as I was on my way back and noticed we happened to be on this street and rang the buzzer to get off. I found no issues walking alone during the day or night and enjoyed the space alot. My initial booking was upgraded so I enjoyed an entire suite to myself which was nice since this was a solo bday trip. The owners were very hands on and addressed any of my concerns while there. I also found the other traverlers were very friendly and welcoming.

United StatesMy room was right next to the kitchen/living room area. I could hear everything. Every conversation that people had in the common areas came right in. The tv was almost always on, which I could also hear. It felt like there was no door, every noise came in as if the conversations/tv was in my room. The kitchen was sparsely accessorized. The hostel is for sale, so who knows what that will mean.
Location was great- I walked to the beach down the street. It's a quiet, small beach, which I appreciate. Wifi worked well. My room was clean. The hammock by the pool was great.

RomaniaNothing to complain about the private room.
For 1 night I got the private room ( there was no availability in the shared dorm). The room is very nice, as shown in the photos, clean, good value for the money and for expensive Aruba. Again, senior Luis is an amazing person, very welcoming, caring, too bad I did not get the chance to meet his wife. I loved everything about this place: location, fully equipped kitchen, the pool and terrace and THE STAFF! PistaQ is close to the bus terminal and 15 minutes by walk to the Surfside beach or 25,30 minutes to the more famous and beautiful beaches as Divi beach. I highly recommend this place if you are on a budget and look for an affordable and clean place!

RomaniaSome tourists have no respect for other guests in the room or the common spaces ( even if the bathroom was cleaned very well, some women just destroyed it, leaving a lot of sand, their clothes and soap, shampoo bottles and acting like it is a private space everywhere). It is not the house's fault, guests need to learn to respect others in a common dormitory or space. The ladies (in their '50, the snoring was terrible and loud) in my room were talking loudly at midnight or watching social media without headphones. Please if you travel by 2, a private room will be more economical than the shared dorm and there you can talk as much as you want, leave the dorms for young travelers or learn to respect everyone. Again, it is not the house s fault, the place is amazing with amazing hosts, for me it was the best decision staying here ( price, clean, a fully equipped kitchen and amazing staff), I even extended my stay there because I felt like home! Thank you!
As a budget traveler this place is soooo worth the money, I felt like home, and senior Luis is the best host ever!!!! I like the location, it is walking distance from the first beaches ( if you don't mind walking for 25 minutes) or you can just take the bus from the bus terminal, 10 minutes by walk from PistaQ ( buses go to any part of the island). The house is clean, every floor has its own kitchen fully equipped. I am very happy I chose this place and I can't recommend it enough! Thank you!

The staff was very friendly. The air conditioning was nice and worked well. The room was clean, and there was a towel and bar of soap available for me to use when I got there. From a value for money perspective, this was awesome. I would definitely stay there again.

United KingdomThe top bunks, without any kind of guardrail, are mildly terrifying - and there aren't privacy curtains or anything like that. There is one male and one female bathroom for the dorms - so sometimes you have to wait. It's a small hostel so how "social" it is varies wildly with the other guests at the time. If you want to spend a lot of time at the more famous beaches, you will end up taking a lot of buses (or hiring a car - but Aruba traffic can be crazy).
One of the few budget/hostel options on an expensive island. The managers were helpful and flexible (though you will need Spanish to get the best from Luis). The hostel is clean and well looked-after - and there is a small pool out the back. The air-con in the bedrooms is effective and not limited to only certain times. Located in the city itself, about 15 minutes walk from the bus station.
