For me, it was no problem. But if you are a light sleeper, you might consider to stay in another place, since you can hear the trains passing by quite loud. In addition, it's a 20/30 minute walk to the city centre.

The bed was comfy. There was a bubble bath and a nice shower. The room was very spacious and clean. It felt a bit like I was in a small apartment; in a positive way. All with all, it was a comfortable stay.

grumpy receptionist. Don't rely on getting a parking place and street parking is fairly costly and time restricted. Hotel is a very long walk from the shops and restaurants of Ghent and in an uninspiring area. No local shops. WiFi seemed slow, but works, however table and chairs in room not well suited for a business traveller needing to work in the evening.

Spotless bathroom and towels but no soap, simple but ample breakfast, good bed with spotless linen, easy one key access to all entrances. Quiet despite proximity of train station.

Breakfast was very poor. We booked a triple room that was suppose to have 3 single beds. When we arrived to the room we found one double bed and one couch, not comfortable at all. Very far from the city center.

For those who want to stay close to the train station, this is a good option.

Actually, If you're coming as a tourist, I would recommend a hotel in the city center with a view on the river. Otherwise this hotel is great.

The location was really good if you want to be close to the university but not far from the city center (both within walking distance from the hotel - 30 minutes). The room and bathroom were clean. Nice staff

The strong smell of cigarette in the room 16. We had to leave the window open for the whole day and it was a bit better. The price was quite high without breakfast ! Location a good half hour walk from the town center. Value for money, not very high but it was during a bank holiday weekend and last minute, I have to mention that.

Parking is fairly hard to get out of with all the cyclists buzzing by at speed and it's a hit and miss if there will be a spot available. While the staff answered every question, they seemed to be very condescending when answering some questions like if you can get scrambled eggs ("Can't get that for 8 euros") or to scold you if you briefly block another car without even asking if you will leave the car there for long ("Can't park there.").

Breakfast was fairly decent, bathroom was clean and well equipped, bed linens also clean. Location was OK if you like to walk to the center (approx. 20 minutes walk). Wi-Fi was fairly decent.

Location is not so great in Ghent but actually not a huge problem because driving around with your car in Ghent city center is not easy anymore. And city center is in walking distance though.

Good hotel for a short stay or for a visit to the city of Ghent. Railway station is nearby (Sint Pieters) but on the front side of the hotel you could have some noise of bypassing trains. Rooms are adequate and in order. Breakfast is standard but OK. There are fresh eggs. Free public street parking during the night until 9am in the morning in the nearby street.

We traveled early July, it was very warm in the room, but we couldn't have a window open because of the trains going by, so unfortunately we didn't sleep well. Only in the morning we noticed a pair of earplugs on the bedside table. Unfortunately only one pair (for 3 people) and it wasn't mentioned, even though the train noise obviously is known to the hotel otherwise earplugs would not have been left in the room.

We traveled with 3 people and got an upgrade to a suite. Very big room, which was nice, on 3rd floor. The parking was free, but you have to be there early, only 4 small spaces available. The decor of the hotel seems a bit old, but also clean, which is the most important. The staff was very friendly. We arrived hours before check-in, but were allowed in the room anyway. We got advice about public transport and the city center. Breakfast was simple, but effective and for a good price.

We came by bicycle. The person at the reception wasn't very kind at all at the first moment. Knowing and insisting on the risk of theft of things (including bikes) even on the parking of the hotel, he didn't propose a solution for parking/putting the bikes in a secured place (the bikes and trailer are pretty expensive). At the end he gave us two additional lockers (we appreciated this). Although the owners can't do anything about is: due to the very warm weather, all neighbors were sitting on their flat roofs. During the night they were yelling at each other, making a lot of noise. Falling asleep in this circumstances wasn't easy at all.

Little far from city center (even when you walk by the river). Quite expensive breakfast (did no use it)

Cosy room, modern bathroom. Next to the train station, perfect for further travels. Nice staff, even when you arrive late.

Arrived by car, parking was not available. After a very unpleasant discussion, the wife of the owner agreed to reposition her vehicle so that we could park. We complained to the owner, who offered a bottle of wine in order not to write anything negative in the review. We declined. The room on the 3rd floor (facing the street) was very close to the railway line, so we "enjoyed" constant noise and subsonic rumbling. Also, the room had an unpleasant odour, that the owners tried to disguise by installing a scent spraying device. The overall favourable score of this facility is unreasonable high. Avoid at all costs.

No coffee making facility in the room. The room was a bit on the warm side.

Ideally located next to the station and trams. Only a short walk to the city centre. The room was clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful. Ideal for our early morning ride to Oudenaard for the sportive.

The price doesn't include breakfast and city tax which makes the whole price a lot higher than a barely three-star hotel. There is construction noise nearby. The hotel doesn't accept American Express.

    The room is ok.

Literally that was the most unpleasant stay I have ever experience anywhere. The interior of the room was absolutely perished and not renovated at all for years. Nothing to do with what you see on the photos. The room was so cold the first evening that I could barely sleep and on the next evening I found that someone had turned down the heating in our absence during the day. However, the biggest issue was the hygiene. You could easily see that the old spotty carpet wasn’t vacuumed at all. Meantime you don’t even receive proper linens. You are supposed to sleep with a solely sheet and on the top of it separately thrown an old saggy blanket with a huge stain from whoever knows what liquid… The dust was all over the furniture and there was long female hair in the folded towels in the bathroom. On the second morning my fiancée had two spots on her hand, bitten by something over the nigh, either a spider or bed bugs.

The single advantage is the location. 30min on foot to the center and NOTHING else.

Obviously not the hotel's fault but there aren't many shops or places open late where to get some food so if you didn't pay for meals it is advised you buy something in the center which is not too far anyway.

Staff at the reception was very nice and welcoming, room was clean and very comfortable, bathroom very clean as well, had a sense of privacy as I didn't hear any noise from the hall or other rooms, overall a great value for the money
