That we weren’t able to stay longer because of our travel plans.

This is an amazing family run hotel in the centre of old Bruges. It serves an amazing buffet breakfast each morning with a wood fire in the fireplace—very European. The hotel has a courtyard out back and a room for relaxing in the basement. There are free bicycles and there is enclosed indoor parking for your vehicle a short walk away.

Stuck in a lift on many occasions. Don't use it!!

I would definitely stay again in the hotel. Would also recommend the place to people in their early/late 30th and 40th. You will not regret it. Bikes hire are included in a price, that was a winner!

Bruge is a beautiful city with plenty of history, culture and good beer!

The hotel is old, 70s style. It's clean but not comfy. The bed wasn't comfortable. There was a strange smell in the corridor and the rooms. It needs refurbishment. The breakfast was poor. No hot items. No cappuccino. For the price we paid, I expected a better overall experience. I don't recommend it.

The location of the hotel is good, as it's by the river. You can easily walk everywhere in Bruges from there. The guy at the reception was very helpful and gave all needed info.

The bathrooms and heating system could do with updating and the plumbing could be noisy at night. The room by the lift is a little noisy at night with other guests returning and doors banging etc.

The staff were really helpful and friendly and the breakfast good in an attractive room. The bedrooms were nicely decorated with lovely views at the front of the canal.

Hotel is slightly out of town (500m) which was good for us because it was quiet but may not suit everyone.

The hotel was comfortable and so cosy. The staff looked after us well - from making tea and coffee at breakfast to recommendations of what to do in Bruges. The town itself is so welcoming and it was a very relaxing stay. Really great experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

    No complaints!

This hotel is an excellent location. It's close enough to the main sites for quick and easy access, but far enough away to have some peace and quiet from the large crowds. There are also some cute restaurants and bars very close by. The neighborhood is very charming and picturesque. The breakfast was excellent! Everything was very fresh and there was a nice assortment of hot and cold food with healthy options. The breakfast room is really cozy -- wood-burning fireplace, large windows with lots of natural light, wood floors and soft music. The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful. The rooms were immaculate and very comfy. I would definitely stay here again!

The only thing we did not like but was totally manageable and consistent with many places in Europe was no shower doors or mountain t for the shower head that was above the head for a shower. Excellent tub for baths. This however was not a deal breaker and we will stay aging if we head back tube Bruge.

The staff was great and because the hotel was not full they upgraded us for free to a slightly bigger room. Very good location. Would Definitley stay again. We also like that this is a family owned hotel started by grandmother now run by mother and grad daughter working there in the sumer. Nice vibes.

No air conditioning and it was VERY hot so we had to open windows all the way and then bugs get in. Yes they do give you mosquito repellant plug-in, but walls were covered with flying insects and it was very hot and uncomfortable sleeping. Old building with windows that open inward, so you're constantly hitting yourself on the doors. Not a luxury visit, but it was quaint and good location

We loved the quiet location along the canal, with close proximity to town center. Loved the access to free bikes, which we used each day. Staff was helpful with suggestions for places to visit and helping to arrange train travel to Amsterdam.

Mattresses could be firmer. Breakfast was lovely but the bread baskets could have been less diverse and more rustic, artisanal.

The hotel decor has a beautiful minimalist theme, using touches of antique art and simple crafts. It suited the spare but elegant Flemish style of the building. Rik is an outstanding hotel manager. All of his enthusiastic recommendations were fantastic, whether restaurants or activities. You can tell he truly loves Bruges and the sentiment is infectious. His staff is hard working and charming. And the location is perfect - on a canal, but slightly off the beaten track - just enough to have quiet and a respite from the crowd.

Only one gripe, and this isn't with the hotel itself. Booking.com said the parking was free (in fact this was the filter on our search), but we were charged £15/day.

The Adornes is a lovely little hotel on a picturesque canal. The staff were friendly and helpful, pointing us to some nice restaurants and must-see places. Our room was faultless really - comfy, well-appointed, and spotlessly clean. The city centre was a five minute walk from our door. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and would stay again if I return to Bruges.

This rustic little hotel tucked into a quiet but picturesque corner of Bruges has everything (except coffee and tea making). The guest lounge with videos, games and books is a great place to relax, the breakfast room has an open fire and exposed beams and a delicious continental breakfast. The rooms have traditional charm with exposed beams and views out over the canal. There's free 4 hr parking on the street or the hotel has limited car spaces (must pre-book) . There's a little grocery store a few doors up and two great restaurants in the side street - a particularly good one at the end! Also a great running tracks past the windmills at the end of the street.

Bathroom only had bath, no walk in shower .

With a lovely view of the canal, we had 3 big windows in our room which opened wide to allow the sun to stream through. The breakfasts were fantastic. I had 4 couses, muesli with fruit, croissants, toast then more slices of fruit. There were also boiled eggs, cheese and cold meats.

The only minor grip was the wi-fi only worked in the lobby and did not work in our third floor room.

The entire staff was excellent but Ric was extremely helpful and prepared a daily list for his guests of the top attractions and activities in Bruges. The breakfast was excellent and offered many delicious items. The room had spectacular views (see photo) and was very comfortable. There was complementary, indoor, covered, locked, private parking that was only a short walk away.

The local bus system employees did not know where the hotel was located, even though it is just across a canal from a regular bus stop! Incredible, as the town is only 1 square mile! The local transportation system employee at the terminal had to use Google Maps to find the hotel (once I supplied them with the address from our confirmation printout). The bus driver did not know where it was (we had the correct line) and drove by it TWICE, after taking us all the way to the end of the line. We finally just got off the bus, asked a restaurant owner where the hotel was located, and walked there. It took over an hour to get to the hotel from the bus station, when it was only 10 minutes away. Not the hotel's fault, just abysmal local knowledge by the transportation system employees.

Close to down town square, but far enough away to miss the 'tourist trap' stuff. Two great pubs within the block, on has been a pub since 1515!
