Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaWiFi password was handwritten and I could not decrypt it. I'm sure the owner will be happy to help but it was already late and I decided to not bother him.
We stayed in a room with spacious terrace and garden view. It even has a small kitchenette with tea kettle and coffee machine. The house is situated in calm area not so far away from the city center. In about 20 minutes of walking you can arrive on the market square. There was private garage nearby which was convenient as there are not many options for parking on the streets.

United KingdomDon’t be fooled by the picture, it is a normal terraced house. Don’t park in nearby roads they are permit only or 4hr limit, you have to park on the main ring road (not too far).
Not too far to walk into centre of Brugge. Unusual Thai decor. Room with private roof terrace. Tea, coffee fridge etc.

United KingdomWe would have preferred to store our bicycles inside the house, but out front was not too bad, it's a safe area and we had no problems keeping an eye on them from our balcony.
Baan Siam is a home on the main road leading up to the ringroad outside of Brugge, situated approximately a 10min walk to where the action starts. Guests are permitted the entire first floor which is two large bedrooms and a nice bathroom. The downstairs and the top floor are private spaces for the owners and their family. We really enjoyed the balcony attached to the front room, and also there was a sizeable terrace on the rear room but we didn't use it much. If you only booked a single room, I guess there is a chance that you would share the bathroom with another guest, but that didn't happen to us as we booked both rooms. The family who live in the house were very discreet and polite when we interacted, which was really only on check-in and check-out. They have a minibar in each room with some complimentary water, biscuits and sweets which was a nice touch. The rooms were quiet and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We slept very well on the large mattresses, they were super comfy. The bathroom was very nice and the shower perfect after a day of cycling across Belgium.

United KingdomShared bathroom - which is fair enough but that is hidden away in the fine print on Booking, com No room cleaning - which again is fair enough but did mean that stuff like tea and coffee not topped up Capsule coffee maker - a waste of space given no capsules provided! Shared bathroom didn't seem to get much attention (state of toilet, scattered towels)
Comfortable room, pleasant terrace with green views. Superb and very large bed. Quiet, reasonably close to town. Plenty of storage space, though no bedside table.

United KingdomWhile the accommodation was comfortable, it’s worth noting that the property is also home to the owner and their family. At times, I felt a lack of privacy and occasional noise, which made the stay feel more like being a guest in someone’s home rather than a private getaway.
The property is just a 15-minute walk from the city centre, making it a great choice for those who prefer a quieter, more relaxed location. Everything about the place is top-notch, and the owner was warm and accommodating throughout my stay. I visited in May when the weather was warm, so I can't comment on the heating system in the room.

ColombiaBy the time we booked this place it was described as a room with private bath, and this was innacurate. The bathroom is shared by two rooms, and to be honest it was not a problem. Bertrand the host, explained us this confusion happened a lot and offered us a full refund. We decided to stay and this fact was not a problem at all. I checked the description and now is more accurate.
Bertrand and his family helped us out with small things we needed. The place was really nice, close to downtown. In summary, Bertrand and his family are great hosts, and we spent two nights of good sleep there. If you do not mind sharing the bathroom with a couple of fellow travellers, this is a great place to stay.

RomaniaNot very well insulted and you could hear the neighbours using the bathroom and walking around, also the room we were in, was facing a busy street and it was nosy. The towels were clean but could be updated, they were grey instead of white.
Walking distance to the old town. Near to bus station and nice shops. Confortable bed. Fridge, kettle and coffee machine in the room. Water and little treats for free. Toiletries available.
