Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Germany-
This place is amazing, I would give it 11 stars if I could. I have been to Bruges many times but this stay definitely stood out for me. Not just the building itself, which is historical heritage, but all the furniture and art are curated with utmost taste and attention. Sometimes in those beautiful old hotels you feel like living in a museum but it was not the case here, everything was extremely comfortable and suitable for life and relaxation. But most importantly is the care you get from the owner, Peter, who made the experience so pleasant. The attention to detail and my needs, and all those small details that made everything tailored for me was exceptional. I also loved the breakfast, felt really royal in that sunny dining room with beautiful cutlery and classic music playing. Location of the hotel is also very convenient, just 10 min walk to the center and being in a quiet area at the same time. The whole stay was just a feast for senses, I would come back any day.

United KingdomOur stay at Brugsche Suites was nothing short of exceptional. The property is stunning and has been lovingly restored by the current owners to its former glory. Peter is an exemplary host whose attention to detail (from the night-time chocolates and lit candles at turn-down to the beautiful monogramed bedding and towels to the elegant antique furniture) rivals that of any 5* hotel we have stayed in (and we are fortunate enough to have stayed in many). Breakfast was wonderful with fresh locally sourced items cooked and served to perfection. Peter had lots of recommendations for our time visiting the city which we found very helpful. The location was ideal, being a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the busy centre. If you like high-end luxury delivered with a personal touch, this is the place to stay. Thank you for a wonderfully memorable weekend in the beautiful city of Bruges!

We were a couple went to Bruges for a weekend trip. Peter was the most welcoming host I have ever come across - he is kind, patient and always willing to go for the extra miles to make his guests feel comfortable and looked after. He made us lovely breakfast in the morning and always willing to give us suggestions for places to visit and his knowledge of Bruges is impressive. The facility is beyond amazing - we were wowed from the minute we walked in. Really liked how it is constructed and decorated - feels like we were a part of the rich history of Bruges. Bed was comfy and bathroom was clean. Location was great - took us around 15 minutes for a relaxing stroll to the town centre.

Hong KongHonestly speaking nothing could be wrong as the service is excellent, our host is a wonderful person which give us many advices. The decoration of the house and the room were superb. The breakfast is wonderful served in a wonderful living room. Only happiness can happen in this wonderful house.
Bruges is a wonderful city but it becomes exceptional when you are advised by Peter our dear host. He makes your stay magical with his kindness, his "savoir-vivre", his warm welcome and his luxurious guest house which transports you to the time of kings and queens, and this is how you will be treated. Brugsche Suites is a jewel, an exceptionally beautiful house, decorated with the greatest refinement down to the smallest detail. The blue and gold bedroom is sumptuously beautiful and quiet. The breakfast is a delight. An unforgettable stay awaits you.
