Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomUnfortunately it is listed as having parking on Booking.com. please note THERE IS NO PARKING. We had to use an overnight stay car park a walk away, cost 20 E pernight. We also got an 80 euro parking fine as we didn't realise you couldn't park in residential streets nearby. I had to rate it poor as they keys were not available when we arrived and I had to make an expensive call to the host. The reason was that the flat hadn't been cleaned. After all that it was ok except if you sleep in the living room there is loud noise outside. Oh yes and it's in the red light District, maybe not suitable for children as quite visible.
A whole flat for a reasonable price in a central location.

United KingdomLots of things were broken, curtains, light hanging out of ceiling & plug socket. Man was very odd on the phone, messaged to say almost there, he called me saying I was going the wrong way (he did not know where we were) He rang later that night at 12.40 saying where are you! And woke us up. No hot tub add said there was. House opposite is clearly a working ladys house. They stayed in the window but may bother some people. All in all a bit of an odd experience.
The beds were comfortable.

BelgiumThat there was another guest staying at the property which was meant to be a private apartment. Also the lights did not work. I left immediately and stayed somewhere else.

GermanyThe apartment is in need of renovation. The furniture has seen better days. The beds while comfortable were at ground level so they are not suitable for elderly people. But considering some of the horrible reviews on this website (which I had not read when making my booking) I was pleasently surprised and will certainly consider staying there again.
Large appartment with kitchen. Good location (but be aware that it is located in the red light district although you don't have to walk through that particular street if you are using a different route which takes about a minute longer. But it is possible that from a different appartment you might have a view of such an establishment). The streets were very quiet nevertheless. Shops and restaurants are close. Everything was clean. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful.

NetherlandsThe property was in a poor condition The pictures arnt a true reflection of the property The service is none existent The amount you pay upfront is not the final amount as other costs get tagged along as “tax” The rooms are in a dirty condition The bathroom was dirty and unclean with marks all over the bath The water was not clean either The so called kitchen is below standard by a mile as it is just a stove Entry to the place was a mission and no check in instructions were given nor were any check out instructions given Location is located at red light district so at night be prepared to hear a lot of notice One doesn’t feel as safe in the streets as the area itself is dangerous

FranceThe whole lobby and stairs smelled drugs/hash. during the whole 24 hrs we stayed there. The owner welcoming us was not there, a friend of him was... The owner then arrived, with an attitude I would unfortunately have to assign to someone being high on drugs. This is not even the most important. The pictures and description does not reflect - at all - what the apartment look like. This is sold way above what it's worth. Here are some examples for you to give you an idea. - Water was not running hot, it was necessary to reset the boiler... That's not something you should have to do when booking an apartment on booking.com. - No water pressure at all in addition to that. the owner tried to come and fix it but without success. you can barely wash yourself. - Beds and linens are in bad bad state. Stains and holes everywhere. You can feel all springs randomly extending in your back when sleeping. - Oh man, what mistake we made to give a look at the mattresses... we should never have done that. we ended up going to the shop to buy brand new linens. - No blinds to enable sleeping. Those installed don't even provide you privacy at night, that's even worst. - We got bitten at night by some bugs. not mosquitoes, bugs... we only hope we haven't brought them home... - the overall apartment seemed to be cleaned on surface, but when paying attention, everything was dirty: - the toilet bowl was not even fixed on the floor. - there were cigarettes ashes left on the kitchen amenities. - all plates and glasses in cupboards were exhaustively dirty. but not dirty like a bit of dust. dirty like grease was still there. - about safety, the door lock is nothing more than what you have on your internal doors when at home. no sense of security. - upon contact, owner reacted quite late when asked about absence of hot water, etc... - first reply was to "stay positive" ...
DON'T SELECT THIS APARTMENT UNLESS YOU'RE SOME SORT OF DRUG ADDICT WHO DOES NOT EXPECT ANYTHING TO MATCH ANY EXPECTATIONS...

NetherlandsBed room and living room are a bit old. Can't use the stove without a lighter. The room is next to the red light district so maybe not super comfortable to walk around the neighborhood.
The location is close to the city centre. The bathroom and toilet are clean and new.

PanamaFor starters the picture and description in the booking app is not of the apartment they rent. I had to contact the property manager the day of check in for instructions, since we had not heard from them. The apartment is in the red light district. It is outdated and needs details to be fixed, like a broken toilet paper holder. We ended not staying there and getting a last minute rental somewhere else.

NetherlandsIt’s right in the middle of the prostitution area, so keep that in mind before you book this place with children. And Also: the light for the bathroom is actually outside in the hallway, on the right behind the door, so keep that in mind (took me way too long to find hahah)
its very close to the krook, city centre, schools and other important sites. there’s a huge amount of space (bigger than my own apartment). the wifi works just fine and because of the lockcage you can check in at your own time.

Czech RepublicBest to check the neighborhood beforehand, definitely not suitable for children! The apartment could be better equipped (kitchen) and some of the furniture was worn down. Compared to the price and location these were minor faults!
Very spacious apartment near everything you might need. Dampoort station, city centre, university all within walking distance. The house was calm and quiet. The host was communicative and friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
