    Just the old bathroom

Location, hotel grounds and room are amazing but the bathroom really needs to be renovated as is not the same quality as the room itself. Very low toilet and shower is attached to the side wall of the bath making it difficult to shower. Views are beautiful, plenty of parking and great breakfast with good choice of items and amazing fresh hot coffee

The towels were less than fluffy. The access road from the east is windy on cobbled roads, tricky journey in dark and wet/snowy conditions. Sign posting with the Hotel name could be improved if more frequent.

Staff were very courteous and friendly. Facilities in the room were excellent and the bed was super comfy. Air conditioning was subtle and quiet. Food in the restaurant was gourmet standard but at acceptable prices. The service was outstanding, super attentive and pleasantly friendly without being obtrusive.

Despite paying for an upgraded room, we had no view of the city. The room and restaurant were expensive for what you got.

The property was located on a hill overlooking the city and the citadel. The room was comfortable. The facilities in the hotel included a lift, bar and quality restaurant with an extensive wine list. The property was easy walking distance to the citadel and a few restaurants.

Wifi is very slow even sometimes down to zero. The wind of the airconditioning is above one side of the bed causing some discomfort, but by changing the temperature this can be solved.

Wonderful place, great views, breakfast on the terrace, excellent bed, air conditioning, large comfortable room, charming artwork. Nice staff. Great price for a 4 star hotel (probably because it is a hotel training program).

For cycling was up a steep hill. Thats why all the hire bikes are electric! Steep climb back if you need to go to alternative restaurants. Wine fridge with single bottle of champagne was humorous but noise of the cooling was unwanted.

Reception staff could not have been more disinterested if they tried. Staff stood on the front doorstep to have their cigarettes not very professional at all. Staff were not helpful and unable to provide any different weight bedding when requested like it or lump it. There were no toiletries in the bathrooms again disappointed in this in a hotel of this quality. Dinner was overpriced and poorly presented and without a car there are no other options available as the hotel is miles from anywhere. Breakfast was okay we were the only guests in the dining room and no service ordered eggs and bacon and only got 2 half cooked eggs

The room and bathroom were a good size and quite plush. Dessert menu is quite good and reasonably priced

The fact that the hotel is based on a castle is quite misleading. This is a business hotel. If you visit with the intention of a romantic break, you will see that you are the second priority for the hotel. The hotel is manned by the students from the hotel school. So technically sound but not experience/attentive. Even the design looks to have been done by a student. The best example are the bar and the room lighting. The bar is functional but very business like and not really welcoming. More the kind of bar where you wait for somebody rather than choosing to hang out at. The room lighting is very high tech but it takes a rocket scientist to understand the exact sequence of switches required to turn on the bedside lamps (and that includes also a mechanical switch). Restaurant is ok but nothing to write home about. Last point is that hotel is hugely overpriced for what you get.

The outside of the building is very nice!

I would have expected better toiletries in the Bathroom at a Hotel of this quality. 2 shower caps, a shoe horn and 2 combined soap/body wash/shampoo dispensers. The bath soap dispenser was sited high up for use with the shower, not possible to use this one if you were actually having a bath.

The room was dated and not clean. Stains on the carpet in multiple places. Not sure when the last time the bathroom floor and tiles were scrubbed / mopped, but they need doing again, and properly. Food selection was minimal and the choice was not great at all - the wine menu was more than 10 times longer, no good if the food choice is as limited as this was. Only one of the restaurant staff was over 16 years of age, which meant inexperienced service. Breakfast options did not have the choice either. Clean the rooms and update them. Greatly improve the menu options / choice / variety.

The location is excellent and within a short walk of the Namur Citadel - go for a visit and stunning views over the the River Meuse. Hotel grounds are nice and parking is there.

    Nothing, everything was fine.

The hotel is located at a very nice place on top of a hill. It has a four seasons garden around it. Room and bathroom were nice and comfortable. The restaurant is very good. (Some of) the young people serving are students from a hotel school nearby; they are doing a great job! I liked especially that they prepared the food on the table (asparagus). Also the cheese plate can be recommended; lots of choice and good explanation of the different cheeses. They have 2 parking spots for electrical vehicles. Staff is very nice and helpful.

The service was a little slow in the restaurant. There was a lot of unused space which created a feeling of a lack of intimacy.
