Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainI found it pricy, even if the city is expensive itself. Maybe there could be a simpler option for breakfast and make it cheaper as well.
The hotel is lovely, staff was friendly and helpful and location was great next to to transport. The neighborhood is beautiful with restaurants and bars to relax. Also the room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable!

GermanyThe bathroom had no ventilation and the room got quite warm even though we turned off the heater, which might be a problem in summer. Our room was located on the first floor and the windows showed some sort of backyard. It didn't bother us but I guess, I can see why some people might say it's a little depressing?
The hotel is easily reched by foot from the city centre but public transportation is also available near by. The room was clean and very big. Only disadvantage: For longer stays it might be useful to have some sort of cupboard. We booked the hotel very spontaniously a few hours in advance and when we arrived, everything was prepared and for us to check in. They even turned up the heaters in our room in advance to make it cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I did not book the breakfast, so I can't comment on that.

United KingdomAlthough a bright room and bathroom during the day, at night we found the lighting poor and inadequate (in both the room and bathroom). It was too dark to put on make-up, I could hardly see the outcome and could well have looked like a clown for all I know!! Secondly, there is a trip hazard outside room 203 - it might be an idea to mark this with coloured tape.
It was wonderful returning to a warm, cozy room at night. The bed was terrific, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was great and well tiled, and the shower was powerful and hot. We thought each member of staff we interacted with was excellent, helpful and friendly. We especially liked the extra touches provided by the hotel eg. perfume to try at reception, sweets on offer and the lovely fragrant water. The location of this hotel is also excellent, not far from a metro station and lots of amenities, and our room at the front was very quiet and peaceful. We loved it.

United StatesThe floors were weirdly creaky. Every step was very loud, which made me self conscious about moving around. The bath tub could've used a mat to make things less slippery. These were minor things.
The location was good, partway between the city center and my travel destination to the south. It was easily accessible by tram and bus. There was food and shopping nearby, but the street we were on was nice and quiet.

FranceWhile ZOOM boasts a convenient location and stylish ambiance, there were a couple of notable drawbacks that affected my stay. One issue was the flooring, which emitted noticeable sounds when walked upon. This detracted from the overall comfort and tranquility of the room, especially during quiet moments. Additionally, the soundproofing of the rooms left much to be desired. External noise from adjacent rooms or the surrounding area could be heard quite clearly, disrupting the peace and quiet that one expects from a hotel stay. Despite these shortcomings, it still offers a pleasant experience overall, thanks to its prime location and modern amenities. However, improvements in sound insulation would greatly enhance the comfort and satisfaction of guests.
Nestled in a prime location, ZOOM offers a perfect base for exploring Brussels. The modern space exudes sophistication and style, making it a delightful retreat after a day of adventure. With its sleek design and convenient location, This hotel is a top choice for travelers seeking both comfort and accessibility.

GermanyOur room shared a wall with a bar so it was a bit noisy. We understood that the breakfast was 20 euros per room per night but in reality it was the price per person per night so there was there a bit of a miscommunication there during check in. The breakfast is okey, could be better for the price point. The neighbourhood has plenty of options otherwise for breakfast or dining.
Hotel has good location, the room was great size. I believe we were upgraded to an xl room which was appreciated as we travelled with a baby. Parking nearby possible. Overall very nice, calm neigborhood .

GreeceNothing really to mention. Very good sound proof in the room towards the street and the bathroom. Not so much vs the common areas/stairs, which made the moments when the cleaning ladies where out of the room a bit noisy, but still.
Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, 24h reception. Spacious room, very comfy bed. I would definitely return in my next visit.
