Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe were given the wrong room; despite the staff at the door having taken a picture of my passport, we were given the keys to someone else's room and despite the staff having seen three men in front of her, gave us the key to a double with an envelope of a room that contained a different name on it. Other quibbles were the non-working TV, only one hanger per person for a triple room, an aged bathroom that was in need of TLC. But for the price that's all passable, except for the messy checkin-in process.
The location, definitely: for us Leathermen, a 3 minute walk to the Boots bar is simply perfect.

United KingdomI know it hot in Belgium around the time we came (June 2023) but the 1st room we had doesn't have any windows, no fans etc. So we kindly asked for a room change so we could have at least one window. Me and my partner had a lot of we think bed bugs bite and it wasn't nice to start with as we have a lot of red marks in our bodies.
I like the staffs, they're friendly. The location, the price.

United KingdomI had a room on the 3rd floor. Unfortunately it had no window or outside ventilation. I was staying in a box. Don't get me wrong, I was only here for a few days, but with no air conditioning the temperature was 30deg plus. No chance of cooling air.
The location was great. After talking with my host, I discovered that with a bit of tetris with the car you could avoid all parking charges.

PortugalTerrible! I tried to call the emergency team and they didn’t answer It’s cold inside. You can hear everything on bedroom next door. There is no hot water on duche. I do not recommend I had no power for about 30 to 40 minutes and I was working the shower clogs all the time. I stayed 6 days and they only gave me 2 rolls of toilet paper and they told me I have to buy more. however this is not written in the ad, in the signed contract or in the terms that I accept that are on the site there was a leak in the ceiling of the hotel room! exactly! it was raining inside the room (I have photos and videos)

HungaryThis is a two-story large room with a fridge, a kettle, an electric stove, an iron, two heaters, some kitchen utensils, and a shower. It's very rare for any hotels to have such a variety of useful home equipment. The design is very original as the hotel is a former industrial plant, so you have a lot of unexpected features like an industrial elevator, iron ladders etc. Location is very good: just between the Central Station, The Waterbus, Chinatown, MAS museum, The Chocolate Nation, and all the possible grocery stores like Lidl, del Haize etc.
