Just the street noise as a tram passes and heavy trucks with poor noise insulation. Also noise from the corridor is badky insulated. But it is not detrimental.

The breakfast buffet is great. The cleanliness, the staff, the location. The fact that pets are allowed.

unconfortable beds; the elevator out of order more than 2 hours; despite several requests for a meeting with the hotel director to resolve the claim, the Director never came nor replied to the request sended via email. We were guests at this hotel for the third time, but we will never book this hotel anymore.

We were a group of 9 people staying in 6 rooms. The family room was lovely with fridge, microwave, coffee machine and sink. Lovely Hansgrohe shower with multi sprays! Really comfortable beds - even the sofa bed made a great bed! Staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Great location, right on the promenade.

Stop over travelling to Germany. Perfect. Comfy rooms, good choice breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Decided to leave earlier to catch earlier ferry, Benny was very accommodating, and offered to do a little packed lunch. Didn't take him up on the offer, but the gesture was very kind.

Parking can be difficult on a weekend or sunny day.

This property has a great location on a lovely beach. it’s a boutique hotel so rooms are a bit small but they are well presented and there is a great viewing area at the top. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice . The area is very close to the restaurants, bars and casino with a tram stop outside. We will definitely return.

Good selection and quality of food for breakfast - staff lovely even remembered us from our visit in November last year. Comfortable beds - good to have bottle of water in room - loved the romantic touch of chocolates in the room for Valentine's Day thank you. The view at breakfast is lovely overlooking the sea and hotel near tram station so ideal for seeing rest of coast line

The lift only takes four people, or two with luggage. There is no bar. The only place to get a view (mostly inland) is from the roof terrace on the 9th floor. The occasional jet taking off from Oostende Airport, especially at 04:00 hours, was disruptive, but unavoidable.

The reception staff were pleasant. Sitting on the roof terrace suited my friend and me very well. The breakfast selection was good apart from the cooked options (which were few). I was able (purely by chance!) to watch the last half hour or so of the Men's Final at Wimbledon on the good TV.

Beware of the recently introduced non cancel or amend policy. Despite this being my favourite hotel and being a long term customer, the hotel flatly refused to assist with an urgent amendment due to illness. Neither Bookings.com or I could get them to assist.

The breakfast is always superb, rooms are comfortable and there are on street parking spaces if you are early enough. The hotel has a side sea view and 3 front facing ground floor suites. If you are absolutely sure of your dates and that you will be there, this hotel is simply superb.

On our way back to the UK we booked this hotel as a last minute choice in the morning of the day we were due to travel. As such we had a very good deal on the price. This seaside town was chosen as an alternative to staying in Dunkirk for the ferry crossing back to the UK. It was pot luck based on its price and the towns location. (We find Dunkirk itself to be a noisy place for overnight stays). The hotel is a modern hotel, nice and clean and adequetly sized rooms. Lift access to all the floors. The bathroom is compact and clean though being on the 8th floor it took ages for the hot water to arrive at the shower. There seems to be no reception staff at night and access is by the use of your key card. The hotel is 10 metres from the promenade, which is well kept and clean, a short morning stroll soon cleared the cobwebs. We arrived too late to use their restaurant (though it may not have been open in the evening out of season), but there are plenty of other restaurants in the town itself only a short walk away. The breakfast has to be one of the best I have ever had on the continent. With at least 6 different kinds of bread alone and a hot bacon and scambled egg selection, with plenty of fresh friut, yogurts, cereals etc.
