A place where everything is just perfect and you feel at ease and at home the moment you enter! The love for the detail, style, the hosts amiable character and dedication to make your stay as comfortable as possible make this B&B unique!

First of all, the place is truly wonderful. It's the prettiest house on the prettiest street of an already super pretty seashore town. After that, the way the house is decorated and cared for is absolutely outstanding regardless of what style of decor you particularly enjoy. (My taste ranges from slick modern and minimalistic to country rustic and this English upscale country style was perfect in every detail). The rooms are large and beautiful, the bathrooms are exquisite, the bed was super comfortable and breakfast was delicious. To top it all, my wife had forgotten a sweater without even realizing it and later that day, just out of a simple conversation of "where are you going next?", Bertrand (the owner/manager), actually managed to deliver it to our other stay in the next town! This is the kind of commitment to hosting that you'll find there! Absolutely recommended!

Nothing although the restaurants within the town seemed a bit expensive

The rooms were decorated so lovely & the breakfast was excellent. The B&B had a honesty bar & the house was positioned so close to the centre of town & the beach. We would recommend it to anyone. The host was so friendly & helpful

Everything! The elegant decoration (that includes an old-fashioned Roberts radio that welcomed us with classical music), the subtle luxury, the more than perfect mattress and pillows (what an unforgettable sleep we had!), the bathroom with the almost invisible, large shower cabin, the dressing room (such a rarity!), the generous gourmet breakfast, the silverware that made one feel more as a guest than just a client, the price too - low for what you receive; above all the discrete, kind presence of Bertrand who answered everything before we had to ask (we were offered full, commented documentation regarding De Haan). As for the location (which by the way is excellent, in a residential, chic area, very close to the sea-front), does one really want to leave this lovely place? Come here to be pampered, relax and sleep.

Fantastic experience in a exceptional English manor type house with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The house is located in a very quiet area of De Haan. You immediately feel at home and are really welcome. Delicious breakfast in a cosy ambience prepared by the "maître-de-raison". Very attentive and helpful host.

We felt very welcome in the home but felt on occasion that we were intruding on their home life in the evenings. Was their lounge for paying guests or to entertain their friends.

The full experience : decor, quintessential English style, silverware, classical music, furnishings and hospitality all reflecting their passion for classical English heritage. Very befitting of the local setting of a town which seemed to be set on the late Victorian era. We loved the style and scenerity

Very cosy and delightfully stylish! No wonder the owner is an interior designer. The welcome drink in front of the fireplace was the beginning of a superb winter stay.

Het Zonnehuis is a beautiful gem. Tasteful decor, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and close to both the sea and the town centre.
