The owners of the hotel also have an Indian Restaurant downstairs. I had a good meal which made my short stay more enjoyable. Having a tram station in front of the hotel makes it easy to get anywhere into Brussels.

Room 28 is a new 'quirky' large room in the roof space with restricted head room which would not suit tall persons. The TV was not yet working and some electrical work and blanking to the roof space requires finishing in the double bedroom. H & S - No light available to see footing when climbing stairs inside the room to reach the room key receiver to turn on electrics at the top of stairs! No medium or full height mirror anywhere within the room. Very limited number of breakfast items which fits with the low cost for breakfast!

Easy walking to the offices sited in Avenue de Souverain.

Calm stay. The place is old. Heating should be better, when I arrived I could feel the cold outside day. The good point is the Indian restaurant downstairs (it is part of the hotel) Not the best one you will taste but it saves you time to walk and look for something to eat

The price of 207 Euros incl. breakfast for a very small room on the top floor with a small window at floor level was excessive and double the price from when I last stayed there in June 15 when I was charged 98 Euros incl. breakfast for a large room!!! I would note that the facilities and general fitting out of the room was totally comparable to the larger/standard sized rooms used previously excepting the issues following. Avoid room 27 if your are claustrophobic and need sufficient light either from a full sized window and/or electric light to be able to do some work sat at the desk unit!!

The positive was the location suited my meeting venue which was a short walk down the road. If you do not like Indian food there are a few restaurants about 5 minutes walk away turning right from the hotel following the main road/tramway and through the park with the two small lakes.

The smell coming from the restaurant which is on the ground floor of the hotel is disturbing, even in the hotel rooms. The Wifi couldn't be accessed from the room. There is very little space for parking in the neighbourhood.

The bed mattress is perfect, the shower remarkably warm and one doesn't hear too much the traffic even if the hotel is located at a crossing with traffic lights; a bus and tram are also circulating in the neighbourhood. The breakfast buffet is all right.

Biggest issue was the claim of car parking. The hotel only has 2 spaces, which were difficult to park in and most days had a staff car in one of them. For most people parking was on the street outside the restaurant, and if it was busy, that could be a problem. The room, especially the bathroom could do with a re-fit. Some tiles were cracked and the doorframe had started to rot. The breakfast was limited but ok. However, if some of the items ran out they were not replenished so being late risers, we missed out.

The location was excellent as we were going to Waterloo by car each day. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The Wi-Fi was probably the best I have found for free in hotels, better than much more expensive rooms.
