Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe bathroom was outdated and the shower door very hard to scrape closed, but it was all functional.
The location was perfect for exploring the city - very close to all the sights. The place wasn't at all fancy, but the beds were clean and comfortable—which is all we were looking for.

GreeceThe stairs make it a choice mostly for young people, to be honest, but that's not necessarily a negative, you get to improve your physique!
Spectacular location, beautiful historic building, room equiped with everything. If you 're looking for a value-for-money-option in an otherwise expensive city, then this is the ideal choice. The hosts are also the kindest!

ItalyThe desk was quite small and with the fridge right underneath, so I struggled a bit to sit and work. The bathroom door didn't close properly and kept opening, but I put something in front of it and that stopped it.
Great location close to the center and public transport. The room was very cozy and the WiFi very fast - I had to work quite a bit while there and participate in meetings, and it never let me down.

United KingdomGreat location in central part of city. Can walk everywhere. You have to manage your expectations when staying here. There is a pay off. The location is fantastic, but what comes with that is the noise from outside. Be prepared to be woken up by rowdy drunks and shop alarms. Especially at weekends. Won't find a cheaper place in Brussels though! Also the stairs to the rooms are tricky if you are infirm and have lots of luggage. Spent very little time in the room overall.

United States of AmericaWe were on the level directly above the street, which means there was extra noise from the trash and recycling being dumped as well as some people noise and occasional alarms. Fortunately, I had brought ear plugs and my daughter was wearing her headset and listening to music (so she didn't have to listen to me snoring). I would suggest that earplugs be provided by the hotel to help alleviate the street noise issues. The stairs were very steep and narrow, which is typical of old buildings in this area. If my daughter hadn't been with me to carry my suitcase up the steps I don't know how I would have gotten it up there. Also, in the USA the 1st floor is Ground Level, but in Europe the Ground Level is level 0 and 1st level is actually UPSTAIRS. So if you have issues with stairs, stay somewhere else.
The location was great. The room was comfortable, They cleaned the room daily with fresh towels, etc...

GeorgiaThe stairs is so narrows it wont' be easy to carry a check-in baggage upstairs, as well as to fil it in the room. Some renovation would be great.
Perfect location for tourists. Friendly staff. Rooms cleaned daily. Room and bathroom size was OK. Comfy mattress. Regardless the location it was not noisy at night in December. We did not have breakfasts there.

BrazilThe hotel only offers the possibility of getting a breakfast on the room. There is no elevator in the hotel, which might be a problem for some people.
It is a little hotel just opposite Manneken Pis. The location is excellent, a two minute walk from the main square. The hotel has comfortable and quiet rooms. The hotel serves a basic breakfast but in the neighbourhood many alternative options are available.

South KoreaThe disappointing thing about this hotel is that there is no elevator and the stairs are very steep, making it difficult to carry heavy luggage up. If you lack strength, please refer to this point. There is no coffee pot in the room, so you have to go downstairs and fetch water for coffee or tea. It's right next to the Manneken Pis statue, so you have to endure the noise until late at night. Let's overcome this disappointment by having such a good value hotel in the middle of a major tourist attraction...
The best thing about this hotel is that you can walk to the main tourist attractions in Brussels. It is also close to Brussels Central Station, making it convenient to travel to other places with luggage. We stayed 4 nights, and Antwerp, Bruges, and Ghent were easily accessible by train.
